What are common lies cheaters tell?

I have to work really late or I had to work late would be number one.

That’s one of those situations that. Could be completely true… but if you’re noticing orher red flags. Become defensive when you ask why they worked late. What did they do working late… if they have nothing to show for it. Such as…. If you’re married and their pay hasn’t gone up for the days they stayed late. As in thy didn’t get overtime

How does someone respond when someone inquired for more information. If it’s overly defensive. It’s none of your buisness. Why don’t you trust me.

Someone whose legitimately working late probably won’t mind sharing the details. It’s super weird. Unless maybe they work for the government on a secret project. But even then…: shit.

Now some cheaters are better liars then others. Some may have elaborate stories they may tell you.. but if you see other signs. Or it sounds too rehearsed.

Most people long term know they’re being cheated on. They just don’t want to see it..:: so they believe the lies. They may not know when it starts. But they know usually at some point.

Someone may accuse you of being insecure for asking. You’re overthinking…. Too emotional.

But secure people communicate when they have concerns. Most cheaters are VERY insecure people and they tend to project rhat on you.

But obviously they can accuse you of cheating all they want.

I think it’s really bad when “ouy drinking witn the boys/girls” at that point. They just think you’re stupid and too weak to stand up.

They have lost all respect at that point and think if you’re dumb enough to believe that…. You deserve it.

Not saying people can’t go out with friends. But more times then not..: if it’s secretive. It’s not good.

Not sure , I don’t cheat and never knowingly been cheated upon but I would be particularly suspicious of the rationalization of changes in behavior , specifically around their phones ( calls and messages ) as well as social and working patterns. These are generally big tell’s from what I understand of the experience of friends , family and colleagues.


What has been put in front of me before is how much I work away from my home city but it’s been a constant for some time.
