Definition of to nurture: care for and protect (someone or something) while they are growing.

A man cares, protects and provides the whole family: his wife and children while they are growing. A woman nurtures her children. A man nurtures his wife and children at the same time.

So aren't men better nurturers because he takes care of more people than women can?

When you consider these other parts, where you need more time and involvement, that is where women are better. You need the deep emotion and connection that women are better at to be a better nurturer. Men are better for correction and logic. That is also why children need both. Women provide the emotional support and love, men provide the guidance and knowledge. To put it slightly harshly: men make children strong and capable, women keep children from becoming psychopaths.

psychopaths or sociopaths? You sure you don't have those backwards? Sociopaths are the ones that can't control themselves and everyone can see they are screwed up. Psychopaths are the ones that can control themselves around others and are much harder to notice how screwed up they are. To put it another way, psychopaths are the serial killers that no one suspected where as sociopaths are the serial killers that are caught the same day because they wouldn't stop killing (not saying all killers are one of these 2, but just giving explanation for the difference between the two)

I'm not sure. I think they both have their role in nurturing but I do not think both genders are equal. I believe women and men, historically and biologically, are each better at different things. There's many aspects of nurturing that each gender is better at.
