Hi,

I'm a guy. I'm pretty confused about this, and I need some advice. So I have a coworker I enjoy being friends with. We have worked together for 4 years, and she tends to tell me a lot of personal stuff. She has been in a relationship for years but is unhappy. I have always tried to be respectful of their relationship.

One day, while working at my computer I look up and see her smiling at me. She was about 20 feet away. I don't know how long she was looking at me, but I got caught off guard and looked away really quick. A couple days later a big group of us were at lunch. I bought her lunch because she forgot her money, and I didn't want her to be hungry. After lunch, people were all giving each other goodbye hugs. I look to the right and see her smiling at me again from like 15 feet away. It would have looked weird if I walked all the way over in front of everyone, so I didn't go to hug her. She almost seemed annoyed by that.

After that, she started locking me out of some programs at work. I didn't make a big deal about it, but she was the only one who could have done it. She has always been kind of secretive, but now she is really secretive.

I recently changed jobs and work at a different company. I value our friendship, and I still try to stay in contact with her. The effort is like 99% me though.

I asked if something was wrong and she said no. Does she hate me now? Why was she smiling at me like that?
