Nice pointers, and very well put too. Another one you could add to the list could be putting them before yourself.

This is something I've observed from my own parents towards me and my siblings, as well as with each other. It doesn't have to be something outlandish either, but little gestures can count too. Things like saving the last slice of pizza for them, getting each other random spontaneous little gifts they didn't expect, doing the dishes and/or any leftover chores without keeping score. Little things like that.

Might seem a little out of fashion, but I can't help but notice how modern day relationships lack something this simple, and it's just sad.
