I had an old car and we always drove her car (Toyota Corolla) when we went somewhere together. She preferred to have me drive, so I have driven her car frequently. About six months ago, I got a new car and I have invited her to drive it but it is a Ford Explorer and she is hesitant to drive something that large.

Unfortunately I'm not in a relationship so this doesn't apply, but a previous partner asked to drive my car, and I allowed her to do so.

Obviously if we were living together it would also be her car, and she would drive it more than me because I don't need a car.

I've met a few girls that couldn't drive, and the priority would be to teach them, because it would be fun, and I think it's important both can drive in a relationship.

We only have one car that we both use. If we were to get second car the only reason for her not to use it would be if it were a stickshift (she only drives automatic)
