Do you ever sleep this long?

I don’t know if I can believe him because I felt like he lied to me before. So we have been dating for 2 months now, and he started his second job like a week ago. So he has been even busier, so we barely see each other now. But one day, he did go over 16 hours without texting me back, and he was active on social media. I confronted him about that, and he changed his behavior and is currently consistent with texting me and updating me. One time before that, he went hours without texting me, and he stated he is sorry but he thought he texted me back. So you can see why I have a slight trust issue with him. He texted me at like 9:50 a. m. yesterday saying “ Good morning” with affectionate emojis and called me “bbyg” and stated how tired he was and that he is off that day. So he is going to rest. I texted back around 30 minutes later because that’s when I saw his message and said basically he deserved his rest because of how much I know he has been working, and I hope his has a good day. I never got a response until like 11:19 p. m. Would someone actually sleep that long if they are tired? Because I know for sure that I can’t. Even if I’m exhausted, the max I can sleep is about 9 1/2 hours. But over 12 hours is a little much, don’t you think? He was never active on social media this time. But again he might have learned not to get caught this time because I confronted him the last time about it.

he said he was going to rest. not sleep. so i don't think you need to get bogged down in was he sleeping or not. the bigger issue seems to be your lack of trust. you shouldn't distrust someone simply because they don't respond promptly to texts. but your distrust should be rooted in deeper things like, do you distrust him not texting in a timely manner because you have other reasons to distrust him?

what do you think he'd be doing during the day that would prevent him from texting OR opting not to text you? for example, even if he were cheating he could still text.

so i think the bigger issue is what is the root of your distrust? simply long periods between text messaging?

Get to the root of your trust issue with him and i think we can probably have a more productive conversation

Why do so many people think that a text requires an immediate response, and get upset when they don't get one? We are individuals, and often are doing other things besides looking at and answering texts. I often don't reply to a text for hours after it's sent.

I’m only saying this because I believe he lied to me before. I mean I had other things going on so I really wasn’t waiting on my phone for a text back 😂. Going 12 hours without an update is crazy and a red flag if you don’t have a valid reason. So think whatever you want to.

Yes.
Not really sleep. Usually just sleep few hours and wake up for toilet or drink and ho back sleep again, and repeat it until 16 hours without looking on his phone. Because my husband sometimes doing that after few days didn’t sleep enough.

Maybe he just wasn't on his phone after waking up. It's possible that he didn't want to talk to you. People need time alone.
