Why can't people understand that being a parent is hard?

Especially men. Men don't help or want any responsibility of taking care of their children. Woman struggle with post depression which is really bad also involves killing their own kids or themselves. Mental load of doing everything while the husband sits on his ass and watches TV cause he worked all week. Or brings in the paycheck. If you truly loved your wife you would help her.

I am so sorry for how you feel. You definitely don't deserve to go through that. I don't think I deserve to say this but I have in a way raised my baby cousin from his infancy to toddler because his mom was doing her PhD. Me and my mom would babysit him from morning till evening at least 4 times a week. And raising a kid is fun as long as you have a village to help you. Try to connect with friends or relatives who are willing to go through that beautiful journey of raising a kid. If that man ain't helping you in any way then have a conversation with him and if doesn't listen then dump him, literally. That'll be one burden off your shoulders. Even my dad who was super busy when I was a baby found time to do household chores so that my mom could spend time with me, and he held me whenever my mom was overstimulated.

here's a hard and fast way to show that you aren't interested in earnest discourse. Generalizing how about 3 billion people feel is completely unproductive to a conversation. I'm a man. i take care of my kids. drove my daugther to dance last night. i've made breakfast, lunch and dinner for them every day this week. I'm taking my kids to a school play tonight. coaching my son's soccer team on Sunday. and next week I'll do it all over again.

People who don't understand how difficult parenthood is likely haven't been parents OR haven't been particularly involved in parenting.

You’re absolutely right: parenting is insanely hard, and the mental load usually crushes moms first. Some men hide behind “I work all week” to dodge responsibility, which is emotional neglect, not love. A real partner changes diapers, does 3 a. m. feeds, and protects your mental health. Bare minimum isn’t “hero husband” behavior, it’s basic.

Thats something they should realize before having kids but unfortunately they go into it without thinking. Personally I say a big issue is there is a huge separation of people who dont put their priorities in the right place when kids are involved which leads to the couples drifting apart which also results in misjudgement in how to properly raise kids

Abortion isn't legal everywhere and many can't afford it. So yeah, if you can't abort it and don't have access to baby boxes and shit, you're outta luck. Like shit, my area has no baby boxes at all and the closest adoption place to me is 5 hours away.
