To be honest, I’m a bit confused about which one would be better. Right now I’m single, and in a way all my time belongs only to me. I don’t have the worries that people in relationships often have. For someone with a rich inner world, being single might not be a problem they can be happier through their own productivity and creativity.

However, being in a relationship also means experiencing emotional and physical closeness and fulfilling the need to love and be loved; these are things that cannot really be compensated for by staying single. That is also very valuable and gives a person a sense of joy.

Maybe being in a relationship where your personal life isn’t heavily interfered with would be better, but finding a partner like that is difficult.

In short, it depends on the person, but for many people I can clearly say that being in a relationship would make them happier.

When I was a young single man, I enjoyed being on my own.

I somehow ended up getting married, though, when I was 35.
I still don't know how that happened.
I was lonely throughout our entire marriage of 32 years, and now my wife has passed on as of a couple of months ago.

Oddly, I no longer feel comfortable being alone like did as a young man.

Thankfully, there are people who are supporting me to a great degree these days.

So, to answer your question, I think that I do desire a relationship with a special someone.
There's already another relationship developing in my life, so yes, I'd say that I guess I'm now a preferer of being in a special relationship.
