+1 yNot too sure anymore. I mean if im in a relationship, Iām fully committed of course. But im also content remaining single. I can sleep in my bed in the shape of an X. I dont have to adjust my schedule to make room for quality time. I dont have to share my food. I dont have to worry about their safety when theyāre away. I donāt have to deal with their scheming female friends or monster-in-laws. Eh... Blah blah blah. So those are the cons yet i know being taken has its pros. Its just that being single has way less cons

At most I've been able to keep 4 relationships going at the same time simply because of time constraints. That was before I knew about poly though, with all parties knowing the most has been 3.
It's like juggling hand grenades, but with my penis. Eventually one partner is going to explode with jealousy, though every time I have high hopes it won't happen, every time it does. Shortest time is one day, longest is about half a year. Ahh, I love it though, and now I want to start setting that up again...01 Reply
+1 yBoth are great TBH
The best thing about being single is the privacy and freedom but I also love the romantic companionship of being in a relationship
If I found some one who gave me the best of both worlds I would certainly be be more open to doing things usually wouldn't want to do00 Reply
I love having someone, whether it's a relationship, a one night stand or a friends with benefits.
So either way, I'm okay because I'll always have someone and then both have their pros and cons. Being in a loving relationship feels good since you are loved and you love, but being single also feels good since you have freedom to have multiple experiences.00 Reply

I enjoy both for different reasons. Being single I feel more in tune with myself. In a relationship I feel enchanted and high off the love I have for that person. It's a great feeling but I want it to be with someone healthy for me otherwise it's dangerous.

+1 yCoupled, but then I don't see having no one to fuck as "freedom".
So many people treat relationships as traps or prisons, but I think thats only a thing people think if they have casual sex, and those types of people end up alone after getting stds and unplanned kids with people they don't love, so to me, thats the real trap/prison.03 Reply- +1 y
Casual sex is not a relationship just one night stand thatās it. Going on dates and have sex is a relationship. So I assume having one night stands is considered freedom? As you arenāt dating that person just having sex one night thatās it? Freedom is being completly alone or having sex with random stripper when you feel like it. Then go home alone. Neevr see that person again.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI like being single. I don't have to accommodate someone else, be hurt or worried I hurt someone.
I can control my own sex life with myself, instead of not being compatible with someone either for wanting too much sex or too little.
I don't have to check in with someone if I'm going to do something spontaneous, and I'm not getting disappointed or worried I'm the one disappointing.
Everything is just easier.10 Reply4.5K opinions shared on Dating topic. The way I see relationships functioning is where each person has activities and such that can be performed solo. Short of romantic adventures, you can do whatever you want without your partner. I went to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with my parents without my girlfriend and had fun. I probably would have also had fun if she was there, but I had freedom to do that without her. She has freedom to do things without me

+1 yI like being single because it suits where I am in my life right now and I feel comfortable being with myself. But I do want a serious long term relationship someday :^)

In othr words you're having fun in situationships. What makes you think a guy will ever love you
- +1 y
In other words you know nothing about me. I've never been with anyone not even a "situationship". Not even a kiss yet I have avoided relationships completely š now I'm at a place where I'm open to changing that.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yIt's not that I "like" being single. I just find most women to be too selfish to have a successful relationship with. I'd rather be single than both of us be unhappy in a toxic relationship.
