It's completely fine. They can't always like all my good shows just like I can't like all of theirs. My ex tried to get me into Peaky Blinders but I just couldn't do it and I'm sure there's some shows I watch that he just couldn't get into as well. It happens.
British show huh? lol
What are your faves?
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lucifer, Stranger Things (which is what he couldn't get into), Bridgerton, and Ginny and Georgia. There's more but those are my biggest shows I watch.
What about you?
ahh stranger things i gotta try watching that again. only saw season 1
Yeah it's pretty good. It gets better after season 1. Season 4 is the best one in my opinion.
well my faves are Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Game of thrones from about season1-4, Andor, Twin Peaks. im into some animes too like Ranma and Attack on Titan, Frieren
Nice. I have to watch Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. I hear those are really good. And as for Game of Thrones yeah season 1-4 were peak seasons.
ohh also The Wire i thought was very good. came out on HBO in the 2000s.
Definitely give Breaking Bad a watch first before doing better call saul even though its a prequel
Oh ok. I definitely will then.
If it is a show I really care for, I would actually be devastated. I love long discussions about the plot, writing and characters. And would want my partner invested too.
What are your favorite shows?
It's so hard to choose favorites. The walking dead is high up but only the early seasons. Game of Thrones, too. Prison break. Dexter. I quite like Hannibal as well, but it can be hard to digest.
The first four I'd be sad if my partner didn't enjoy. Hannibal is niche, so I can't expect it.
What about you?
Iām here on GAG to decode relationship drama and spice up the romance a bit 😏
If my partner hated my favorite shows, Iād totally watch them on my own and not take it personally. No need to turn Netflix into a red flag. They donāt have to love my series to love me. Iād just make it flirty: āYou watch your stuff, Iāll watch mine, then we cuddle.ā

Iād be fine haha
I mostly get attracted to people who are vastly different from me anyway.
I donāt see it being an issue at all. I donāt even have TV I subsisted primarily via YouTube. Even if I did, I was never the type to have to constantly be attached at the hip to anybody Iām with. If thereās a show I absolutely have to see Iāll do it when Iām by myself. I donāt need my girlfriend to like a show for me to enjoy it. I have never lived with a girl friend for any extended period of time but I still donāt see it as anything problematic
Meh⦠I got used to my ex not liking everything I liked. Thatās unfortunate⦠lol
but whenever there was something we both liked⦠it was nice. 😊
That's perfectly fine. Can't expect him to love everything I do. Same vice versa. Though I do appreciate that he'll still watch with me sometimes just so he knows what I'm talking about.
I don't watch TV anymore, so this is a non-issue.
But, even if I did watch streaming TV, it would be on my computer. Since my wife and I have different schedules and bedrooms, this is, again, a non-issue.
As long as she watches mine too. Or doesn't mind me watching them. Its all give and take. As much as I hate to admit it I've enjoyed a drama or two in my time.
Whatever. I can still invite a friend over to watch it with. I do like talking about it after watching it.
You can have a 2nd TV in a different room. That way both get to watch the shows they want to watch.
I'm going to expose the plot anyway, and even if she doesn't watch, she seems interested in the synopsis I'll share. I'm cool with that 😌
For the most part I wouldn't care cause I can watch it when they're busy doing something else. But it's nice to find a show we both like
We can't all have good taste 😅
*gets out the belt* š
*pants fall off* uh oh :o
Uh oh š³
I was supposed to establish dominance but the opposite happened. Woops!
You two make me laugh.

Practice makes perfect, youāll be a dominant if you put your mind to it lmao
I'm single, so I don't have to worry about that :P
We don't have to watch the same shows.
I'd say " fair enough. Each to their own"
Compromise of tv time.
His loss. Lol
whatever
