It's completely fine. They can't always like all my good shows just like I can't like all of theirs. My ex tried to get me into Peaky Blinders but I just couldn't do it and I'm sure there's some shows I watch that he just couldn't get into as well. It happens.

It's so hard to choose favorites. The walking dead is high up but only the early seasons. Game of Thrones, too. Prison break. Dexter. I quite like Hannibal as well, but it can be hard to digest.

The first four I'd be sad if my partner didn't enjoy. Hannibal is niche, so I can't expect it.

If my partner hated my favorite shows, I’d totally watch them on my own and not take it personally. No need to turn Netflix into a red flag. They don’t have to love my series to love me. I’d just make it flirty: “You watch your stuff, I’ll watch mine, then we cuddle.”

I don’t see it being an issue at all. I don’t even have TV I subsisted primarily via YouTube. Even if I did, I was never the type to have to constantly be attached at the hip to anybody I’m with. If there’s a show I absolutely have to see I’ll do it when I’m by myself. I don’t need my girlfriend to like a show for me to enjoy it. I have never lived with a girl friend for any extended period of time but I still don’t see it as anything problematic

But, even if I did watch streaming TV, it would be on my computer. Since my wife and I have different schedules and bedrooms, this is, again, a non-issue.
