I don't usually get into a relationship, not even a dating situation... before I know about certain things

so, this would be the kind of things I would make sure to know first... so if they lied about it or intentionally deceive, mislead, omit then that's something I should not trust

but if I decided to date someone first, and find out later... because it just didn't come out at first, then that's a bit different so I would have to consider intentions and reasons too, because I need to understand things better... before I make decisions like that, lol

There is a band of right times to share things. So it depends. If you've been on 4 or 5 dates, that's fine. Honesty is more important than timing. If you are talking about moving in together then... they should disclose this sort of stuff before you start mingling your lives.

Yes, I'd leave. I prefer dating men without children, even if they aren't involved in the child's life. Hiding something that significant is dishonest, and it's hard to rebuild a relationship once trust is broken.
