Love comes easily to some people… but for others, it takes something rare to really get past the walls.

I’ve always been the second kind, which is why it means more when one person starts reaching me in ways I didn’t expect.

I like people easily. Love is a whole nother matter. Love complicates things. "Love" is never clear, consistent, or rational. And generally when someone develops feelings for you, they don't say it. They do everything under the sun but say it.😆 With most people their "loving you" is actually just an extension of their own narcissism. So they don't "Love you". They just want you to fall in line and tend to their needs and feelings.

And why do I keep putting love in parenthesis? Because it's NEVER Love to begin with if it ever is Love at all. It's just infatuation, that if healthy and responded to healthily has a CHANCE to develop into Love at some point. The REALITY is, most people while not being the devil, are selfish and narcissistic. At some point regardless of what you do or don't do they're just going to want a change, and you have to go.😆 Well let's just everyone time, aggravation, and just not start.😆👍💯

It generally takes a while for me. Takes time to really get to know someone on a deeper level. If it’s moving too fast it can be a red flag that either someone’s manipulating the other OR both people are just too carried away and building fantasies of one another before they really got to know the other deeply just to be resentful and have major issues later on.

Relationships can also move too slow. But it should move naturally. It’s also a red flag if you been with someone a long time and you don’t sense they are building a deeper connection

I get attached easily, and I think experience is a good teacher and a cure for that, you get easily attached once, twice, three times and the fourth time you know - you just don’t care anymore…

You’ve already been burned… And you made it out, with more so nice memories too, So, what difference does it make to be attached again?

One day, you no longer do. And maybe that’s what life tried to teach you all this time?

For me, it takes a lot. I don’t lovebomb, I slow-burn. I observe, I notice patterns, consistency, emotional maturity, how someone handles conflict. That’s when my walls start melting.

But once someone gets in? I’m stupid loyal, very affectionate, and honestly a bit dangerous to ghost, because I’ll haunt their memories forever 😏

Yes and no. I'm extremely picky about the type of girl I'm into. But once I find out they're similar to me in terms of views, interests, sense of humor, they have aligning goals, we're sexually compatible, and I'm physically attracted to them, and their interest in me is apparent (I'm not the type to chase)... then I fall pretty damn easily.

It probably took me 15 minutes to fall in love with my first girlfriend. I think I really really really needed someone to throw tenderness and lust at. The thing is it could have been anyone lol, I didn't really discriminate. I probably experienced the first three short relationships the same way. Between 16 and 18yo.

The 4th time was different, at last, after 3 short but powerful heartbreaks, it looked like I learned at least one lesson lol.

Then, over the course of time, my capacity to discriminate expanded, so less and less girls felt attractive, romantically speaking, to me. From where I sit now, I need months to fall for someone, and I need certain personalities to feel hopeful about, to feel safe with.

Yes and no. It's hard for me to let people in to actually reach my heart, but I choose to love people regardless. Once you've broken through, whether platonically or relatively, I'll love you strongly and well, but you need to break through first

I can fall into deep infatuation very quickly. Infatuation is the feeling that people associate with love, but it's not the same thing. Nevertheless, when I am infatuated and in a sexual relationship with a girlfriend, I adore her and feel like I am in love.

I have to trust someone completely in order to truly love them, and that takes a long time - I'd say at least a year. I have to be sure about a woman before I can say I love her and want to spend the rest of my life with her.

LOL, I have a friend who tells women who try to interact with me that it can take 2 years to get to know me. He's not lying. And he's generally telling them that because they ask him why I won't engage like most guys. I generally use lots of small interactions over a long span of time to get to know someone. Getting past my walls is not easy. I know that. But it serves me well for the most part. However, for those inside my walls, I don't place any limits on my friendship.
