I've said a few times here, that I would marry a broke waitress if she had the qualities I wanted.

That is really the crux point - desirable qualities.

Another point that has been made here many times is that men have vastly different mate selection criteria to that which women have. What she can earn just doesn't factor.

Her IQ doesn't factor either. I do like a girl to be interested in the world around her but a lot of the more highly educated have dogmatic views which I don't like.

If this $16 per hour girl is genuinely nice, kind and generous plus understands I need sex more than oxygen and is a girl that bonds than I'll take care of the $'s.

Did she suffer brain trauma while i was with her? Because i can't imagine i would choose a woman like that. I don't care how good she looks. If i was already with her, i'd stay. Because i made that commitment and i love her. Though i'd hope she had family to help a little (i know my family would do what they could). Because i'd have to work. I could watch her 24/7.

I wouldn't date someone based on their earning potential. That is not how I value people, nor is it how I want to be valued. What is most important to be is if this girl makes me happy. If she can't earn as much, she can take a larger share of housework or childcare instead of working 40 hours. I would obviously still help when home.
