Yeah, I’ve seen it a lot, both as a coach and in my own circle. You can feel that “I’m scared to be alone” energy. They ignore bare-minimum effort, bad communication, zero chemistry, but stay for the comfort. That’s not love, that’s settling out of fear. Heartbreaking to watch.

Mother And Father - At 15 I bounced his fucking head off a porcelain sink, a toilet bowl, and a tile floor. Problem solved going forward.

Sister #1 - husband was slapping her around. Fixed by force.

Sister #2 - husband was taking her paycheck and giving her an "allowance" to buy groceries and clothes for the kids. She wasn't "allowed" to see the bank statements. Fixed by force.

Woman I Dated - her ex was married and kept it from her for 2 years. She found out. They broke up. He called her. She got back with him. No worries my total investment in her was one date. I dodged a bullet. Not fixable. Not my problem.

Married Woman Who Pursued Me- she felt unseen, ignored, unfulfilled, etc. She was actually very intelligent. He was a Jesus freak who kept her unemployed and in the kitchen / bedroom. It was his friends, his church, his hobbies. She couldn't stand any of it. Brief fling and she went running back to him and confessed everything. Now her life is even worse. Not fixable. Not my problem.

I eventually learned to jettison damaged people fast and ruthlessly. They are not fixable by external influence 95% of the time.
