I had a few in my lifetime , with girls’ that I didn’t really have a deep connection with , or a relationship with , , but we were both attracted to each other sexually , so anytime we saw each other , we would usually end up in the bedroom together and have great sex with no strings attached. I would only have sex with them , when I was single , otherwise I would tell her No in a respectful way , because I still liked her as a friend , , some of them I am still friends’ with today but they are married now and have a family of their own. So bad habits are good if the both of you are on the same page with things and do not hurt anyone else’s’ feelings.

Yeah. And the problem is that I’m her bad habit as well, so even if I do my best to sober up she can still call me out if the blue and pull me back in.

Not that anything wrong happens because of it.
We’re both single consenting adults.

But in the grand scheme of things, filling the physical need like that takes away the drive to find something real and meaningful.

I suppose my bad habit person is my alter ego, that feeds the immediate desires at the cost of my grand romantic aspirations

yeah. I've been friends with this girl for about 2 years now and I continue to go on this roller coaster of not liking her and liking her even after I have convinced myself that she would not like me back and that she wouldn't make a good partner anyway. but no matter what I still find myself dreaming about her sometimes and waking up in the middle of the night thinking about her.

I don't know if I consider it a bad habit. I am in love with a woman overseas and we chat frequently with occasional video calls. We are both married, me somewhat happily, her unhappily. We have met once when I was traveling in her country.
