She invited me to a party and said this is the location you can take a bus there and it’s 10 mins away and added “if anything I can pay for your Uber too”

It felt condescending and unnecessary. The last time we met I took Uber I didn’t say I had any issues with it

Unless she’s been condescending or shady in other ways previously then why would you take it upon yourself to be offended by such a generic offer? Just because she didn’t offer last time? That’s like if I go out for drinks with a friend and I get offended because she offers to take care of of the bill this time, whereas last time we each paid for our own. If our friendship doesn’t have any prior issues then to me, that sounds like I’m being problematic for no reason.

You don’t have to mention any issues with uber or finances, you don’t even have to have an issue, period. Similarly to how I wouldn’t have to mention anything about having an issue buying my own drink or drinks, plural. In my opinion, it is just a gesture that friends make from time to time.
