How do you cope when you sense people are lying but won’t tell you the truth?

something went on between this girl i know and her co worker but no one there seems to want to talk about it , i would not of ever suspected they'd be involved as there not same age and don't seem to have anything in common other than work. perhaps it be best to just not know but it might provide some closure to know the truth , i get the sense someone there or all of them are lying to me

note i have not asked them directly but they don't seem to want to tell me. he's a really sketchy dude , seen him walk into the bushes near there work to smoke marijauan and seen him high when off work , like i could i take someone like that seriously , he's also claiming a business he was part owner of made lots of money thing is it closed down a year ago and is a for lease sign in window

I feel like you should just mind your business dude, whatever is going on has absolutely zero to do with you. You may be oblivious to it now but it like you keep trying to find some sort of way into these younger circles, with the young women, it’s just odd. You take it upon yourself to observe and investigate things out of boredom it seems. You’ve got to focus on more excitement in your own life, you are far too invested with the people in the same spaces you refuse to leave.

i don't know what closure would look like in this situation , i agree there either protecting her's or his reputation or just scared of him cause they have to work with him there and no one there wants to tell him the obvious she is too young and not even interested in you truly to begin with

i didn't explain the whole story but i knew her fairly well , we never like dated but were fairly close and always talked a lot there , i don't think its unreasonable for me to wonder what is going on here
