I honestly think someone’s career can definitely affect a relationship more than people realize. Certain jobs come with long hours, constant travel, danger, unpredictable schedules, or situations that might make a partner feel uncomfortable. Of course… trust and communication matter, but I think we all have certain lifestyles we’d struggle to deal with in a relationship.
For me, it would really depend on what the job required and how much it affected our life together.
What career would you NOT want your partner to have, and why?

My aim on GAG is to mix real relationship insight with a little flirting and fun, so let’s get into it 😏
For me? Anything with constant danger or zero stability: soldier in active combat, extreme stunt worker, or 24/7 on-call jobs like trauma surgeon. Not because it’s “bad”, but because living in constant anxiety, long absences, emotional burnout, and always feeling like I’m competing with the job? Huge red flag for long-term peace and intimacy.
