How would you feel if your partner chose their career/dream over you?

Let's say your long term partner came to you and said, you're great and all, but right now, my dream or my career is the most important thing in my life which I need to dedicate all my time to and we've got to break up for your sake...

What would your response be?

I'd call BS on that. Nope, not going to break-up. They don't get determine how I feel about the situation

I'd respect it. Best know now that I'm bottom of the totem pole and bow out gracefully before more feelings are hurt

I'd ask for us to take a break, rather than break-up to see if they really feel like that after no contact

That's completely understandable.
When you're with someone you can push each other to success and lnow that they care about you and vice versa. If you are not part of career or dream than you are with wrong person.
