I used to date purley on emotion. Not smart. I would never date someone with no morality or work ethic when it comes to careers. You don't have to graduate college to make me happy it's about treating me well. I make money that not the point. Currently someone my age working in like a gas station or walmart that not at a managment level. I find usu cause of substance abuse, the can't have a serious convo about a topic i'm interested in or lack morality. Maybe a male stripper would be out lol. A drug dealer lol. Not too picky except I like to be treated with care and an equal but it's a tall order I guess. Haven't had that yet really.

I can see why no one wants to date a cop. I don't know I have to think about that many for sure are not datable. Phychiatrist could twist your perseption so I get that. I feel you on sex worker lol. I don't know if I would want to date a dr either. Nice list. I don't know if I will date again anyway. People made things too complicated.

+1 yNEVER date: anyone working in some sort of crime eg. Drug trafficking. (Past doesn’t matter as much) I mean now
Would HATE to date but wouldn’t say never: models and investment bankers.
Source: I’ve dated the last two types way too many times before16 Reply- +1 y
I disagree with the part where people don’t change. I guy I date once had a little criminal record from when 18 and it’s been many years and his life changed when he had his daughter for instance.
As for investment bankers and simillar office jobs I’ve dated too many and most are busy and have no character - +1 y
I didn't say everyone. In general people don't change. Being young and making a mistake and fixing it is much diff than a guy who over like 22 23 fing around knowing better or over and over into their 30s etc. Most people do not change. That a fact not an opinion. I did not say everyone I get what your saying it's just not usu the case. people should not bother getting attached to toxic men you have to babysit to act right. Self esteem and your own validation is key. I think I'm great. I been single for a while and don't require a lot in a relationship. At my age single men usu have issues. I won't settle for someone acting like that. No one should the min of acceptable behavior is not a high bar.
- +1 y
That’s fair enough I see your point, and good fro you for being single haha same here
- +1 y
Hahah I see yours too. I have done research on the subject for sociology. You are correct as well. It's a situation to evaluate on a case by case basis. I mean single not super fun. I do go on dates. Well not for a while now as it gets old to deal with nonsense but I just have not met anyone fantastic. They sure show some colors fast to me. Like date one like what are you saying to me lol. Next. To wait is better I don't want to end up in a toxic dumpster fire. My standard is not that high lol. Like come on people.

+1 yHow about "no job". A serially unemployed, financially precarious person doesn't fit into my life. I'd even date someone like a graduate student, if they were on a trajectory to get some kind of job.
Other than that, it's circumstantial - do I date people who have jobs that are more similar to mine in income and description? Yeah, but likely because we have more in common and present a better fit. I'm not opposed to someone who is say, an artist, as I have artsy hobbies, but their lifestyle might be so vastly different from mine that we never meet.33 Reply- +1 y
You are very welcome.

+1 yThings that turn me off would be, anything in the sexual industry (porn star, stripper, gigolo/prostitute, etc), anything with no real job (male sugar babies, instamodels, video game influencers, etc), anything “on call” and too busy for quality time (doctors, cops, CEOs, scientists, etc),
anything that travels too much (models, chefs, pilots, musicians, streetracers, athletes, etc), anything involving animals (zookeepers, veterinarians, etc), anything likely to be robbed or get me shot by their third party (bank tellers, drugdealers, store clerks, lawyer, psychiatrists, etc)... Firefighters and baseball players are slightly an exception. Other jobs i find kinda hot are managers, art museum guides, bakers, event planners, personal trainers, therapist, film critics/writers, teacher, architect, journalist15 Reply- +1 y
Its alright. I rather he be guaranteed his pay and well, entrepreneurship doesn't always pay
- +1 y
Whixh is why i dislike that career path
+1 yNever say never is my motto but the closest to my never is a prostitute. I think nightlife women get screwed up in the head. Not just prostitutes but strippers, hostesses. I used to hang out in a bar in a place close to the red light district so some of the strippers, prostitutes, hostesses, would frequent that bar (although lots of nice people too). And I only have my limited experience but they're fucked up in the head. They've become trained to see guys spraying money at them as a sign of desire.
20 Reply468 opinions shared on Dating topic. I wouldn't date anyone working in the sex industry (e. g. prostitute, sex trafficking, etc.) or someone that's involved with drug trafficking. I also wouldn't be comfortable dating someone where animal abuse or cruelty can occur like working directly in animal research (a. k. a. animal testing) or a slaughterhouse manager.

+1 yI guess there's no profession that I absolutely would not date, but there are some I would be skeptical of. Like myself and a (Dem) Politician would likely be pretty opposite seeing as they seem to hate cops and play fast and loose with what is and is not legal.
01 Reply- +1 y
I feel that except I wouldn't date a republican. The ones I went on dates with like I don't have my own opinions on each issue indivually but lean quite liberal on many as it's more about I don't know don't be sexist or this pandemic brainwashing is annoying. l like some rep that are like John Mccain. They have over a discussion to see each others view or the issues we disagree on and agree on have litterally yelled at me. I can't do that. There more to me than political views. It's not the end of the world. Why do you liberals do this, why you do that. This issue your fault blah blah snapping like me I did it? What am I the leader and rep for all liberals. I disagree with some of it. l do not like their views on what kids should learn in school like live in reality with the facts. Brainwashng to me. Justification for bad things that happened. So what we can't get along because of some issues like that like it's effecting my life in some significate way I am obbsessed. I also like good convo and netflix and chill. So I avoid it now as I was willing to date one as it's not some daily issue. No one agrees about everything. Just my experence. I don't hate cops. Not fast and lose with me about legal issues. Rep want things like gun rights and other things that are illegal. We all want change that we agree with. The hate for the other side over understanding everyone gets a viewpoint and normal unangry discussion about a view even if you end up not agreeing is really childish and you miss out on friends and love interests.
+1 yI’m fairly open as it’s not the job they do but the person that counts.
i do not tend to stereotype people based on their current profession or career choice.
i just think it’s really shallow when a person does that.

@IMuser It's okay to be sad. Crying releases stress. Put your interests and hobbies to good use. Learn a skill if you want. See a school guidance counselor. Look at the light st the end of the tunnel. That light could be knowing that after you get a job you'll leave behind narcissistic people and build your own family.

- +1 y
For real. How childish to not have a discussion over name calling it's not kindergarden. He sounds controlling and I do support BLM. That makes me evil or C word or whatever. That dud sounds controling and immature. Ev1 has a right to opinions. Adults respect that and try to see the other side to evaluate thiers. A lot of cops are controlling. Some are not so I would but be careful. BLM and women rights are something we were pushed into. You judge people on their conduct and when the minority in the world feels powerless they finally snap and that how things change. I am not black so how they feel should be respected. They were forced here and treated like shit from the start. I get it. They get profiled and many have done nothing illegal or immoral. It would get old on repeat. Empathy is key here. Treated equally and their would be no need for BLM. I live right by the cop that killed Floyd. He might have broke the law but it's not a death sentence. The court will handle that. He was a total phyco. Control freak and a murderer. Not cool he had a long history of doing things like that only to black people. Many cops do. It's not wrong and doesn't make me a retard to think so it's sociology 101. Did this dude go to college and study it. Doesn't sound like it. So I am far from a retard. It's just my opinon jeeze how rude to speak to you like that. He not better than anyone to abuse you like that mentally. That what it is to speak to you like that. Imagine how he treats a partner. Gross.

@Jay3344 I wasn't trying to annoy you with my stance on whatever like it was just examples as we prob be friends and disagree. It would be super annoying in a relationship where they can't respect your view or just not discuss it. You didn't yell at me for whatever you disagreed with. Id be happy to hear your view. Defensive people can't do that. Not hard to respect and at least not talk about it. None of us honestly have much control over it. They want us to fight. If everyone was reasonable on political views then one party over the other couldn't control everything. We all get played a bit lol. I am sure their things people agree with just because their party does. I try to stay open minded on topics. I just had an abusive husband so the stuff I see as controling on either side trying to control a viewpoint to keep people inline is irritating. Like just state facts and don't worry about it. Parts of feminism I disagree with and I am a strong women's advocate. I will tell you this men don't care why your naked in a pic they just masterbate to it don't think your not degrading yourself lol. The anti men ones. All men are not the issue. I don't just agree fighting for women's rights. Anyway blah blah just don't mean to offend anyone.
