It depends. I don't think of it as 'not forgiving'. I think of it as learning that someone is never going to play a positive role in my life and letting them drift away.

I don’t forgive easily, but I do forgive fully. I need honesty, effort, and changed behavior. Without that, forgiveness becomes self-gaslighting. If someone keeps repeating the same hurt, that’s not an apology issue, that’s a red flag and a goodbye situation, not a forgiveness one.

forgive is "easy" to me, yes

as I need to let go, for my own sake

but, more than anything... this question is asked along the lines of "would you forgive a cheater" and yes, I would forgive that, but the relationship would still be, finished

It depends on their sincerity. I want to forgive EVERYONE. It's in my nature and it's what God would want of me. But to forgive someone who is just going to screw you again does not make you forgiving. It only makes you a FOOL. So, your history plays a BIG part with me. If i believe you wronged me but there was no malice intended then i forgive easily. But if i suspect otherwise then God will have to forgive you, because i WON'T.

I don't take to forgiving easily, if ever...
I usually just right them off, and forget about them.
Good or bad, that's just me...
