Why do people online get so angry at strangers venting about an ex?

I understand if you're in their inner circle and they won't stop talking about them, but online, you're a stranger that can scroll. Like telling someone to stop talking to an ex or telling them to get over it and move on seems cold. They take going through betrayal so lightly and the process of heartbreak so
easy. I asked a question about someone saying they love you but not in love with you and most of the comments talked about how it's a cop out, used by the person who wants to break up. In my situation, im coming to terms with loving from a distance and knowing that I'm not the one and he's not the one for me either. I admit I did some work, but the sure reoccurrence that I'd see him later was my safety net. Now that's going to be gone. I know it's not affecting him one bit, but it still doesn't stop my feelings from happening. Why does everyone expect you to be accountable and accept what the relationship is while the person's still there and in less than a year. If i can use the internet to vent and ask questions, the same questions that's been on my mind, why should I keep it bottled up?
