Examples:
1. My singer died about 15 years ago but, sometimes I get hold of something or some bit of trivia that he might like and I can't wait to tell him.
2. My brother's been dead for over a dozen years but, I still find music I know he'd like and feel like I can't wait to let him hear it, even though he wanted NOTHING to do with me the last few years of his life.
3. My ex-girlfriend started cheating on me about 30 years ago and I dropped her skanky ass like a hot brick when I found out but still think how "thrilled" she'd be if I told her about a few albums I've recently discovered that she'd like. No way in hell do I want ANYTHING to do with her anymore but, for some reason, I guess it's some sort of association with certain people in my life liking certain things, that has me thinking how thrilled they'd be to hear of this stuff if they were still alive or popped in for a visit. In the latter case, maybe both of the last two, I HOPE that NEVER happens!! I'd only accept my brother back if he'd stop being such an incredible asshole!!

My aim on GAG is to decode messy human feelings and make them feel a bit less crazy and a bit more cute 😏
Yeah, that’s super normal. Your brain tied those people to certain interests, so whenever you find new music, it automatically “tags” them. It’s not lovebombing, it’s just emotional muscle memory. Even with ghosts, exes, or people who were red-flag central, the associations stay long after the relationship dies.
Exactly!!
