One example would be one night, my future ex-fiance and I were spending the night at my house. She likes to crash just after midnight but I tended to stay up `til 3:00. she got pissed at me not coming up to bed with her soon enough to please her and decided to walk back to her place!! About a 10 mile walk!! I ran out after her with no shoes on because I figured I'd only have to chase after her maybe a block or two but, she got at least 3 miles away before she found a cab to take her the rest of the way home (about another 6 or 7 miles) and walking across that bridge over the river was NOT the best idea with no shoes because there were fragments of broken glass here and there along the sidewalk!! She refused to let me get in the cab with her but gradually relented and I went to her place with her and had to have mom drive over with my shoes the next day!!

Honestly? The hardest sacrifice I made was giving up my “always right” ego. Letting someone see my vulnerable, insecure side instead of lovebombing them with fixes and pretending I’m unbothered. Admitting “you hurt me, but I still choose you” is scarier than money, time, or moving cities.

If i was married, i do sacrifice a lot for my family because i love them but not in order to make them believe me that i do really love them...
