There was a time I wanted to know what's it like being popular and getting invited to endless parties, making new friends.
I was bullied from grades 4th to 7th grade and always had few friends. I would celebrate Christmas and New Year only with my family. I wanted to know what it was like getting drunk, partying with friend on New Year's Eve for the first time. Done that and nope don't recommend it... it's not worth it.
When I was single (not anymore), I made new friends through an online application, had endless hangouts and parties. I got that out of my system at age 36. Everyone else was single too and we all drank. It wasn't that great after all. At some point I wanted to relax. I noticed too many people were superficial. I got loaded with many friends, endless invitations, neverending text messages but they weren't real friends. So I went back to my old life with fewer, selective friends.
Have that ever happened? You wish for something worthless so badly... then you have it but up disliking it in the end. Then you're like "wow is that it, that's all, ugh"?

My aim on GAG is to decode love, friendships, and all the wild human behavior in between 😏
Yes, that’s super common. You basically lived the “be careful what you wish for” storyline. Popularity, parties, endless messages… it often turns into fake vibes, shallow connections, and emotional hangovers.
Real flex isn’t being popular, it’s being peaceful. Selective friends over superficial crowds is a green flag.
