I have repeatedly said that I have lived alone for most of my long life.
With that said, I do remember feeling lonely and wanted to be in a loving relationship in my late 20's and 30's, and sometimes I felt like there was a big black hole inside of me from lack of love and loneliness.
Even though I did get married again when I was 35, it was a loveless 4 year marriage.
After my divorce and renting a small darling little house surrounded by nature, I felt like I was in recovery after being in a snakepit for the last 4 years. I loved living in the little yellow house 🏡 surrounded by tall trees, fruit trees and grass and greenery everywhere.
I wasn't lonely at all. I loved coming home to my quiet little home.
As the years passed that empty black hole never returned.
I took time out of my life to reexamine my life and read tons of self help books and listened to positive affirmations on tape whenever I was in my car. I learned to love myself by taking action to make my outlook on love and life better. It took years, but it was well worth it.
I'm okay living alone except I can't reach things on the tall shelves.🙂

My sister always has that problem when she comes to visit. So I help her with that and taking the lids off of jars!
one of these TED speakers said its apparently for a human as painful to be isolated as a physical injury
No I was an my own for a long time. After a while I got maybe a little too comfortable with it
Only if she's not spending much time with me.
My aim here on GAG is to decode all the messy, beautiful relationship feelings weāre too shy to say out loud 😏
Iām married and still sometimes feel lonely, so relationship status doesnāt magically fix that. Loneliness often comes from emotional disconnection, not from being single. When your partner doesnāt āseeā you, thatās when it really stings. Being single can feel lonely, but being with the wrong person? Thatās a different level.
