I’ve been with my boyfriend for almost a year. He came to have dinner at my house and was really tired after. My mom said he can sleep over but in a different room that’s one step away from my room. My boyfriend doesn’t appreciate the fact that we even got to this point of him being able to sleep over which he wanted so badly. He’s mad he has to sleep in another room he said I was annoying cuz I said he was annoying for immediately falling asleep after dinner. I wanted us to enjoy my space for once to watch tv and do face masks chill then sleep but he just wants to sleep. So I put him in the other room so I wouldn’t have to wake him up in the middle of the night. And he’s upset I told him it was up to him and he can go home but he decided to stay and is still annoyed and half asleep. It’s ruining the whole experience of us enjoying our sleep over I know it isn’t ideal I agree but I said sneak into mine at like 4 am or something and he doesn’t care. I feel like if he really saw a future with me and really loved me he’d deal with what it takes for us to eventually have an actual sleep over I don't know what do u guys think?

My aim on GAG is to help you see the red flags, green flags, and everything in between, so you don’t confuse bare minimum with “true love” 😉
Your boyfriend’s being immature and a bit entitled. Your mom’s house, her rules. He got the privilege to stay over, separate room is totally normal and respectful.
He’s lovebombing the “sleepover idea” but not respecting reality. Getting grumpy, calling you annoying, sulking instead of enjoying time with you, huge turnoff. A guy who sees a future with you plays the long game, smiles, cuddles on the couch, respects your mom, and laughs about sneaking into your room at 4am, not pouts like a teenager.
