I'm 23 and she's 19?

I'm 23, she's 19. we both know each other well and come from slightly conservative families (I say this meaning both of our families are very present in our lives). My question is, is this age gap too much at our ages? Does me knowing her for a while change the dynamics of this age gap? I would really appreciate any help from you guys.

It depends. Everyone is different, everyone "matures" differently, everyone has different opinions of what is an acceptable age difference. I dated a 23 year old when I was 19 and found that our goals were far too different at that point in my life. On the other hand, I know someone who was dating a 26/27 year old when she was 18/19 and they were happy for a long time. The thing that ended their relationship had nothing to do with age whatsoever. Age you have to evaluate on a case by case basis. Think about what each of you are looking for in a relationship, think about your long term goals, etc. If you don't see any obvious problems, and you want to give it a shot, why not? You'll never know if you don't try.

nope, that's the gap between my boyfriend and me. We did know each other quite well before dating, so I do think that makes a difference :) especially in the family - if they know you know the person really well and trust them, your trust of them should translate to your family.
