He says "I love you" randomly

But not very often the firt few months when I realized I loved him it was the hardest thing to admit because were not 'official' but close enough were together we don't talk to other people and he lives with me but he went to stay with his mom last night and we were on the phone and when we got off he said.."I really like you" and I played it off saying I really like you to and I love you just a tiny bit ..we laughed hung up. I'm not putting any pressure on him we've been together almost a year and he's not the type to lie about anything like that so when he does say it I feel like..its real...? But why would he just tell me he really liked me? Any advice helps :D thanks

"I love you" is just a bunch of words. How does he act? I can say 'I love you' all day long without it having any meaning whatsoever, or I can show you I love you without saying a single word. A brother of mine absolutely refuses to say it to his girlfriend of 6 years, but you can tell from his actions that he is very much in love. I think for a lot of people the phrase is just so cliche.

Before my boyfriend got comfortable saying he loved me, he would tell me he really liked me or hearts me hehe.

After he did start saying he loved me, he told me the only reason he hesitated to say it was because he didn't want to say it and have things change tooo much and stuff.

It sounds like this guy really really likes you.. =]
