What else is there to life besides love?

I've spent the last couple of years trying to find my soul mate. I think about love all the time. I dedicated as much time as I could to finding her but I just ended up getting rejected most of the time and the one time I managed to get into a relationship she turned out to be an abusive woman. People have told me to stop looking for love but I don't know how or what else to do in the meanwhile. What else is there to life besides love?

Ever heard the idea that if you chase something directly, you are less likely to get it? For example, if you are desperately doing things to try to make yourself happy, you are less likely to actually be happy. Work on the person you want to be, and the girls will come to you.

Fun. Having fun is almost the whole other 60% (40% being romance). Friends, family, events, clubs, parties, happy attitude. Stuff like that. :D

There is plenty more to life than love and relationships. Whether people bother to see that or not, is their own loss.
