How old were you when people started calling you madam?

Madam is a term of respect, any woman of any age can be called madam or ma'am.

Personally, I think it sounds more suitable for a woman who is in her 40's and up.

But like I said its something any woman can be called. I take no offense to it, but I do know some women that do. To avoid that I call every woman "Miss" no matter their age.
