Playful punching mean anything?

I teased this girl and she punched me in the arm while laughing, we knew each other for less than a month. She laughs a lot at many things I say, but somehow I still think she could be friendly only? Some insights into the punching behavior ? Interest?

That sort of girl punch that couldn't hurt a fly is meant to show you that she's willing to break the touch barrier with you. Some girls don't know how to just touch a guy's hand/arm, so they revert to the more tom-boyish arm punch to break that initial contact barrier.

it wasn't exactly soft either, a normal punch to arm when I teased her. could it have been purely friendly as well
