She says she loves me but has a boyfriend?

we're friends for years and this year I fell for her. She rejected me saying that she loves me too but she has at the beginning of a new relationship. she doesn't want to cheat on him and I respect that. I'm confused because she told me to wait for her. we hang out in the meantime and we're spending a lot of great times together (we're not crossing some lines). She says that it's great when we're together. But, it's difficult for me to wait and do nothing. I think that she made her choice and continued her relationship with her boyfriend. Maybe I should move on... I'm confused. I love her and she has feelings too; but maybe it's not love... What to do?..

We hang out together, she calls me always, she has plans for two of us, she wants to spend time together... So why? Why she doesn't do all these things with her new boyfriend? I don't want to lose her even as a friend and she wants neither lose me...

as much as a horrible person as this makes me and as bad as I feel about it to this day, I gotta tell you the truth. I've said that to a guy before. I loved him to death, he was so sweet and good to me but we didn't have the connection I sought for a LTR. I was trying to spare his feelings and hoped he would move on and I thought he had since he had about 2 girlfriends since I had said it to him. 3yrs later I'm still getting questions about how much longer he should wait and its driving me insane that I'm engaged and he doesn't get the hint. so now I've decided that all I have done was hurt him and its time for me to let him know the god's honest truth. I'm not saying this is exactly what's going on with her, I just recognized those exact words as the ones that came out of my mouth. I hope this is insightful and if nothing else I have to say just move on. if its meant to be it will happen even if its 5yrs down the road.

It's very unhealthy for you to continue on as you are. Tell her you love her, but that being near to her so often in such a hopeless way is beyond your limits. Break off all contact, and start looking for someone who isn't already attached. Tell her should things change to call you. You're keeping yourself in pain, and whenever something you do causes pain, it's time to get away from it. Pain is a warning sign.

By the way, when you break off contact with her in this way, if she really does love you more than the other guy, she will leave him for you.
