How long into dating do you consider yourself in a relationship?

How long into dating someone do you think that you are ina relationship with them? Answers from guys would be very useful. For example how long into seeing someone and sleeping with them would you actually consider them to be your boyfriend/girlfriend. Guys how long would it generally take for you to refer to someone as your girlfriend or actually think of them as your girlfriend and consider them in the decisions that you make?

each situation is a little different. I know lots of guys would not feel the same, but for me, there's kind of two different categories. there's girls that are fun to hang out with and maybe have sex, but that I will never be in a relationship with. then there is the girlfriend category.

if I am interested in a girl as a girlfriend, then I will usually wait to have sex until we are in a "relationship", as in dating each other exclusively. the time frame for that varies but usually from one to three months (I know it seems like a long time hah). but if the girl is just in the "fun" category then whenever, wherever :)

i have heard it said that you can consider it a relationship when:

a. she leaves things in your bathroom, or

b. you both assume that you'll have a date on friday night, like you don't have to ask if, just where

but I think every person is different. like symphonee said, if you're not sure then the best thing is to just ask.

when you both agree you are in a relationship. I was once 'dating' this guy for 3 months and he was like ' so are we girlfriend and bf?' and I said 'definitely!" (I already thought we were, but apparently untl we both agreed we were we weren't) lol
