Guys, if your girlfriend kissed another guy early on in the relationship, what would you do?

Earlier this year, my now boyfriend and I had talked about getting together, and we did, but I was very unsure if I wanted to be in a relationship with him. So, we split for 2 weeks for me to really think things through (I brought up the conversation, he suggested the split). However, 2 days before this conversation, another guy had kissed me and I kissed him back. I had no interest in being with this guy. It's been 5 months since this kiss happened, and I haven't told my boyfriend about it yet, because I haven't known how to tell him. My boyfriend and I are both falling in love with each other strongly, and we both can see a future with each other.

My question is this: would you justify this kiss, since it was at a rocky, "unsure", early-on stage of the relationship?

Another reason I had waited until now to say anything is because initially, I felt it would be best that I DIDN'T tell him. My thought process was, "I made a mistake to kiss another guy. I trust myself to never do that again, and I know how I feel about my boyfriend. I know that since our relationship is getting stronger, it wouldn't be worth it to risk upsetting someone over a mistake I know won't happen again."

I don't think you have to tell him. It's pretty much too late now; it's already been five months. It would only bring up unnecessary drama, and as you said, it was during a rocky and unsure time in the beginning. I mean, if things are fine now and the kiss is pretty much insignificant (as in it hasn't affected your relationship with him at all) then I really don't see the point in telling him. I can understand that it's bugging you, and that's a good sign since it means that you want to be 100% honest with him. But some things are better left untold.

I don't think you should mention. I made a mistake by telling my boyfriend I kissed another guy. And he hasn't forgiven me for not telling him. even if we were fully official when it happened. But i don't think it matters as much anymore, because he's starting to realize that it's stupid now.

There is really only one question here: Does this kiss matter? If it matters, if the need to be honest is strong within you; then be honest. If he loves you as much as you seem to love him, then it can be over and done with a passionate kiss an a statement of love.

Sidenote: Love is unconditional. You may want to reevaluate your relationship if this leads to "conditions" being requested by him. Just playing Devil's Advocate.

The volatility of a person is more important than the truthiness of the situation. To that end there is nothing we can predict without knowing how he generally reacts to surprises, specifically nasty ones, and specifically nasty "secrets".
