When a girl says she's talking to another guy wtf does that mean?

I was a freshman in college. I say was because its summer time and I am now officially a sophomore. But I had to transfer from my first college because of something at home, but I loved my first college. At this school, I met this girl. She's a volleyball player. Only one word can truly describe her,amazing. She's blond, tall, southern, the nicest person I know and loves sports. Hell she knows more about some sports then I do. In the first semester I had a crush on her, I say crush cause you know I liked her, but still was flirting with other girls. Then the second semester started and I talked to her and hang out with her like every day. We got really close. Then one day I told her I liked her. She said no that she only viewed me as a friend and that we could still be friends. After that we really opened up to each other and got closer. Then one night, after a looooooooooong night of drinking I told her loved her. Needless to say it became awkward for me to talk to her even after she tried to talk to me. So my last night at the school I went out to a bar to say my good byes and I saw her. We talked for a long time and she told me she wanted me to find a great girl and I told her she was the one and she unfortunately told me she was talking to my really good friend. Now summer comes I date a girl for 2 weeks, while still talking to my best friend, the girl. Then the girl I was dating called it off cause she had feelings for her ex. So yesterday I told my friend I still had intense feelings for her and she never responded. So a few days after I talked to my friend she told me she liked my really good friend and that they were "talking" I have no idea wtf that means when a girl says she's "talking to another guy". Can somebody explain that

Well your first mistake was telling her you liked her. You never want to give a girl that power over you, it instantly lowers your worth as a man. I know this because I've done this...many times in fact. Your second mistake was drinking and saying you loved her...I hope you didn't mean it. Your third mistake was trying to force her into your life by turning her sweet suggestion into a selfish desire of your own. The fact that she was talking to your good friend doesn't matter, you and her had no relationship to speak of, just a clear obsession on your part.

As for your question, when they say they are "talking" to another guy it simply means they are interested in him. If a girl says she and a guy are talking, she's basically saying she isn't interested in you.

Why haven't you moved on from this girl yet? Can't you see that she has no interest in you? Why would you waste your time on a girl like that?

Probably talking about have a serious relationship.

uhm probably like talking about dating, or maybe they're together and she just didn't want to say that to you.

Or it might just mean that they have talked about how she likes him, or he likes her, or how they like eachother.

But overall, it means wants him and she isn't going to sit back and wait for him to notice if they're 'talking'

usually when a girl is "talking" to a guy, it means she's interested in him and he's responding with interest. "talking" does not mean they'll get together by any means, but it definitely means she's looking elsewhere. I know this is not what you want to hear, but that's basically it.
