So to begin with I felt kinda sorry for him because he was in a car accident, ended up partially paralysed and his wife left him.

However, he later told me he’d had at least two other accidents where he’d been driving about 100mph. The 3rd one happened because he hit a tree driving at 120mph, which caused him to be wheelchair bound. This was just after the birth of his 4th child about 4 years ago. So immediately I just think it’s selfish that you’d risk your life like that knowing you have a wife and 4 children that you could potentially leave behind.

Now he’s in the process of divorce, he’s told me all about how she’s been toxic and deliberately damaged his car a few times. He also told me she’d said she wishes he’d died in the accident one of the times they were arguing. And she also voiced she wished she could sleep with a celebrity. She also told him that one of their kids wasn’t his.

For me, all of that immediately then put me off because it sounds like there’s been toxicity in that relationship, but I wonder if he put so much pressure on her that she snapped. I’ve tried to suggest that he should work things out with her as they were together 17 years and I think she maybe had attempted to fix things at one point, but he was too stubborn. He’s now adamant he’s ‘moved on’ and is wanting to date me, I’m beginning to wonder if it’s a ploy to rub things in her face and get back at her.

I've seen several posts about women complaining about their bfs not proposing and marrying them after 4+ years. Fewer are getting married for obvious reasons. I already know why.

Then once in a while I've seen a couple post about married women that admitted to just not feeling the excitement anymore and want to cheat. They want to cheat for no reason. So he risked it all just for her to make the rest of us look bad and destroy a trusting man.

What's worse? A woman complaining that her boyfriend won't marry her or a married woman still complaining and even contemplating about cheating?

I think I asked this before but I didn't believe it before but now I'm starting to.

Which scenario is worse for a man:

- Finding out the child you've raised all these years isn't yours. The woman cheated and lied about you being the father.

- Either you got lied (on purpose) about the child NOT being yours or the woman never told about your child's existence. Then years later, you find out the child is yours. She knew the kid was yours but never wanted you in your child's life.

If there's someone you've been on and off with for a while (platonically) and you know they were interested in you at some level in the past... would you revisit the possibility of a romantic relationship or is it too late.

Unhappily married cons:
1. You’re unhappy in your marriage
2. You’re taking care of your family more than yourself
3. Your achievements have to be shared with your family rather than just yourself

Happily single pros:
1. You’re happy with your life
2. You are fully independent with complete control
3. Every achievement is yours to own

Happily single cons:
1. You’re alone
2. People assume you’re unhappy because you don’t have a wife
3. Dating struggles

Has anyone ever been in a situation where you’ve started a committed relationship with someone new, but you’ve still been very much in love with your ex?

I’m talking a longer term relationship with someone new i. e meeting their friends and family members etc. then a bit further down the line returned to a relationship (for whatever reason) with your ex?
