Maybe I've just misinterpreted or listened to bad advice but...

I've seen a few posters on here argue that the guy has to take charge and set clear limits as to what the woman can or can't do. For example, if she becomes interested in Feminism, he's supposed to stop her (this isn't a feminism question). These guys are often popular with girls by the way.

Taking control and ordering people isn't natural to me. I'm more of a loner. When I do take charge, I do it by consensus and I convince the people in my group as to the correct way to do things. If they still refuse, I just leave them on their own and do things my way. I'm neither a doormat nor a boss. I'm a 'democratic leader' as opposed to a dictator. I approach relationships the same way.

What I want to know is do women want the guy to be a dictator?

(Note: Dictator doesn't mean violent. It just means he tells her what to do.)

Our first month dating was my last month living with my family, so this all has occurred over a very transitional period in my life. I think this may have to do with my confusion and stress. At first it seemed like she was absolutely crazy about me, like to a point where I was scared about eventually breaking her heart. About three weeks in I fell for her hardcore and felt like we were going to be a pretty long term thing. She actually mentioned that she sees us going far. One month in she told me she loved me and I didn't really think it was love yet. I was pretty obsessed with her but I've never been in real love (I don't really know what it is or IF it really is anything) and I felt that it was way too early in the relationship to call it love. Our second month together was a lot of fun. I was settling into the new place and she was getting to meet a lot of my friends. We threw a few parties and her friends came and they all had fun but I started to notice that she kind of ignores me when she's around a lot of people. A few days later we had a long talk about where we see ourselves in the future. She basically told me that although she loves me and would do anything for me, she does not see our relationship going much further than three months into the future. I at first kind of took it lightly because apparently I couldn't grasp what I was hearing. I dismissed it like it was nothing. A day later after an anxious day at work, I came home and sat down with her. I told her (while crying just about the entire time) that I loved her with all my heart but that I couldn't handle being in the relationship if it seems so temporary in her eyes. She cried in my arms and said she still loves me and doesn't want it to end, she just sees it ending sooner than I do. I guess her definition of a long term relationship is different from mine. We're still together now. I am content with a short relationship, but telling me so before it's over just effs with my head.

I was wondering if anybody here holds their partners hand or kisses them in public places? Me and my girlfriend don't hold hands or kiss in public but I do grab her by the waist at times when we walk it isn't that me and her don't like doing it but we just don't do it were to busy acting goofy or window shopping Lol. So I was curious as to how other couples are in public places. Do you and your partner show this affection or do you think it's rude?

My wife is always on her phone. Before she goes to bed, when in the passenger seat in the car, while the tv is on and even she is not her phone she is on Facebook. I call it being nosy and becuase i dont have a Facebook account and dont have time for it. Instead of getting the sleep she claims she needs she would rather be on her phone while in bed. I have even banned phones in the bed but somehow they made their way back in. She gets texts throughout the day and i dont go checking to see who she talks to and if she is not looking at the phone she is talking on the phone im opposite becuase i dont like talking on the phone for more than 30 secs. Any tips to get her off the ohone so much. I have tired to have a conversation with her and that last for a few secs before she is back on or receiving a text

I want to start out with the details first. I'm at a ripe old age of 21 and my wife is 23. We've been married for 3 1/2 years. We have a 2 year old son. I'm in the military and we're currently living in Italy. She stays at home with our son because it's virtually impossible for her to get a job here. We dated in high school and got married after I completed basic training. Our relationship, in my eyes, was going great. That is until she told me she was unhappy, has been for quite some time and needs to reconnect with her old-self. She says that I've done nothing wrong and that I've been an excellent husband and father. She tells me that she wants to go back home to America to try and find out what she wants. It's very difficult to go home right on the spot when you're overseas so she won't be leaving for about another month. After telling me all this, I soon find out that she's been talking with an old friend from her past. A male friend. She says that he makes her feel like herself again and that he is definitely a reason for wanting to go home but he isn't the main reason. Am I supposed to believe that he isn't the main reason and she's telling the truth? I don't know. What I do know is that one day we're telling each other that we love each other and making love and then the next day I find out that she's having sexual conversations with this man. I think that I should just completely be done with her and let her do her but on the other hand, we have a son together and I don't want to throw away my family if there's a chance that she'll come back. I probably sound really weak and like a fool but I never had a father in my life and I don't want that for my son. She says she's in love with this other man, a boy really, and that she wants to know what makes her happy. This boy used to be a heroin addict, went through rehab, and now has schizophrenia and episodes where he thinks people are trying to kill him. Am I a fool for wanting to wait?

My girlfriend and I have been together for 6 years, since we were 17. We were both virgins when we first met. We both love each other and want to spend the rest of our lives together. But we both think about being with other people, and we don't want to have any regrets. Could I only have sex with her for the rest of my life? Absolutely. But although we have a great sex life, being with a different woman would be a completely different experience.

We are thinking about having one night where we sleep with someone else. We're not going to meet the other persons date, so that there's no jealousy or anything. I don't love the idea of her being with another guy, but I trust her completely and I don't want her to have any regrets either. We haven't actually said that we would do it 100%, but we're talking about it.

But do you think this is a bad idea?

I was asked to delete photos of myself and an ex, that were on Facebook. We haven't been together in about a year and let's be honest they are an ex for a reason. However it makes my new partner kind of uncomfortable to see photos of me and ex. We aren't kissing or anything. But they mentioned I was looking at my ex the same way I look at them. what do you guys think?
