Is cuddling around your parents wrong?

Here's what happened. I sat next to my boyfriend on the couch (at my house) and i laid my head on his shoulder n he laid his head on mine. (This was in the living room in plain sight.) His arm was over my shoulder but his hand was on the couch, so nowhere around my chest area. My dad, after my bf left, got pissed off at me because he said it was disrespectful. I don't see how it is? I'm 17 he's 18. Please make me understand, I'm so frustrated... (I actually want an answer in the comments please)

Also my dad was pissed off, but my mom didn't have a problem. My bf's parents was also with us in the living room

I've done it, but my dad knows my boyfriend, they are like best friends, my dad doesn't live with use he works with the goverment so always gone, my mom was ok with it, but not having affairs or that, holding hands, arm around shoulder, I don't think it was wrong but maybe in your culture it is, I was with my boyfriend at my friends house, he had he arm over my shoulder and my friends dad said, may u please not do that in my house, thanks. So we stopped and m friend said sorry, his parents said it's not in their culture to do that stuff

dads get overprotective about dumb things a lot. i don't get it either. i don't think you were disrespectful. i think dads just "know how boys think" so they get easily pissed and protective of their daughters.

My parents were ok with it I would be ok with it. Thing is you have to remember it's your dad's house his rules. So there is no definite right or wrong here.

It's you getting all touchy with a boy, to you it's harmless because his hands were nowhere inappropriate. But your dad was once a young buck as well, and he knows what's on that dudes mind.

That's why your mom didn't care, she shares your female perspective.

If you saw it from not only a guys perspective, but a dads, then you'd understand.

It wasn't wrong, but maybe he's pissed because he hasn't had any physical intimacy of any kind with your mom in years, so you two were reminding him of something he misses but can't have and it makes him crazy.

I did that with my mom at your age a mother and son kind of deal is all. I was to shy to have a girlfriend. I can see you doing it with your parents but a guy at your age you are not ready and you should not do that around them.
