I think it's traditional to sit across the table from your partner. I guess it depends where you are aswell and who you're with.
If you're just with your partner then there is no need to sit side by side together. It's just the two of you and you don't need to interact with anyone else so across the table would be fine.
Groupings mmm, you need to invite other people into the conversation and so by sitting side by side you allow that gateway from other people to join in and interact with each other, because you're not blocking that communication path. (I hope that made sense) I voted for A for some reason

I would prefer across so you can look at each other and kind of zone other people out. I don't see anything wrong with sitting beside them though. It all depends on the situation also. If you're at a restaurant together it's better across, but if you're at a wedding or something and sit beside each other that's cool too. I guess that with sitting beside each other you can be more touchy than just sitting across from each other. It all depends on you and the situation.
I like sitting besides a person I'm dating if we're with other people. You can sneakily do things under the table
I think when they're with other people they should sit next to each other. Well, that's what I prefer, then I can hold her hand or put my arm around her.
Sitting facing each other is for when you're alone with her, so you can give her all of your attention and look her in the eyes.
If its 2 couples then across
Of more then that a larger group.. Then being at the side makes sense.

In a group you definitely sit together. Other times, you mostly sit across.
Actually, I really like sitting together sometimes even when it's just the two of us. It seems so sweet to just share the booth. :)Next to each other. If it's just the two of you then across
