It’s possible but very rare , most couples don’t agree on everything , We all come from different paths in life and experience things differently from others. Why communication is important in a relationship, we can’t read each others’ minds , we can only assume we know what our partners’ are thinking but without communication , we really do not know if someone is being honest with us or lying to us , Why it’s important to treat someone the same way you want to be treated in return , especially your partner that you chose to be in a relationship with , someone that truly loves you and wants to be with you , will not hesitate to be by your side , they will make you their top priority , and try to fix whatever is broken between you both if you are having disagreements , if the relationship starts to feel one sided , to the point where you feel like you are constantly giving without receiving in return , that’s your answer to start putting one foot out the door and focusing on yourself , and no longer be a convenience to that person anymore , express your feelings of concern to them, and if nothing changes after that conversation, you are best to put both feet outside the door and leave , and realize they do not deserve you , The key to having a happy healthy relationship with someone , is to learn how to remove selfishness from within yourself, and for your partner , wear your partners’ shoes before wearing your own , Think how would you feel , if your partner did to you what you are about to do to them? before acting on your decision , if you want your relationship to last and you want love to grow between you both you are best to put your selfishness aside. We all have selfishness in us , and we all assume what we are doing is ok , when really most times, it isn’t ok to our partners. Basically what you don’t want your partner doing to you? needs to be the same boundaries for you as well, not the other way around , if you can not remove selfishness for your partner? They will not remove it for you period. Nobody is always right , if they think they are always right? They won’t be in a relationship for long , because they are a selfish person that only thinks about what is best for themselves , they do not know how to give the same way they want to receive in return , it’s their way or no way , sadly they can have a relationship all by themselves , because they only care about themselves , they only like the convenience of you , when they get their way, if they don’t get their way, they run to the highway and latch onto another Sucker that will fall for their selfish manipulative behavior because they are never wrong. . You and your partner should be each others’ top priority , if not? Your relationship probably won’t last the long haul just the short haul , Selfishness is one of the biggest relationship killers , learn to remove selfishness and I guarantee you will have a way better chance of experiencing true love , Remember you are no longer single , you chose your partner the same way you wanted them to chose you. You can not always be right , it’s ok to accept that you are wrong as well. Sadly most people can not accept they are wrong , it’s always someone else’s fault , usually your partner is the first to blame , start blaming yourself first before pointing fingers , we can’t force someone to be honest with us , we can only choose to be honest with them , if they can’t handle your honesty? They are not the person for you.

Yes, of course it’s possible. However like most things in life, anything is possible, you just have to realize it’s highly unlikely!

Imagine if you love your boyfriend/husband, and as most women know, sex is not always orgasmic, but the emotional connection we received, and the closeness we felt toward the man we love was incredible, and it DID feel incredible, we just didn't have an orgasm. and he asks, “was it great for you?” and you tell him the TRUTH, “OMG, yes it was amazing, I love you so much” then he asks “but did you cum?” and you say “well, no, but it was still amazing, baby! Just making love to you, and feeling that close to you… it’s always amazing, because I love you. Then the next night same thing, then the next, then the next, and then again the next! Eventually he’s going to stop believing you because you didn't have an orgasm, and he knows that if HE didn't have an orgasm, he would think the sex was at the very least, unsatisfactory and frustrating, so he transfers his feelings onto you, and begins telling you “Don’t lie! Why do you keep telling me it's “amazing” when I’m not satisfying you?” you try to explain, but you are not a psychologist, so you don’t know the exact right words to say and it ends in a protracted relationship-ending argument!
    or
Imagine if your wife/girlfriend (or BOTH! okay I’m kidding), asks you “Babe… do these jeans make my ass look fat?” You take a look, think for a second, and you tell her the TRUTH “No sweetie, those jeans don't make your ass look fat… It’s far more than likely that all the junk food you eat, and the fact that you haven't been to the gym in 18 months that makes your ass look fat! The jeans are just doing the best job they can to cover it, don’t blame the jeans Sandy, they’re not the one who ate the entire box of Little Debby’s yesterday!” Okay there are a hundred ways that could have been worded more kindly, but that IS still the truth. That relationship is already over, y’all just don’t realize it yet!

It takes an incredibly strong relationship made up of two highly intelligent, extremely logical people to be able to have absolute candor in their relationship, and have that relationship survive! There are very few women who have the emotional strength, and grounding (including MYSELF) who would be able to handle 100% candor within a relationship. Likewise there are very few men with a sexual ego that is solid enough, or a strong enough sense of self worth to be able to handle hearing over and over again that he could not give you an orgasm, and it not bother him! I just asked, if you could switch bodies with the opposite sex, would you, and Why? Almost every guy mentioned masturbation so he could experience the female orgasm. So too did some of the women. We just have a disconnect when it comes to sexuality. Men have no issues understanding that women can get moody at certain times of the month. Yet somehow despite all the research that proves we both FEEL the same orgasm, we just process the those feelings differently. In addition we release a hormone (Oxytocin) that bonds us to that mate during sex, men have no such corollary.

Yet somehow, despite all that we do understand about, and accept about our opposite sexed partner, we cannot understand that there are differences between us, and you may need to work on your communication skills, especially communication about sex. But absolute candor… Like ALWAYS, telling the brutal unvarnished truth… No! It CAN work for some, but for the majority of times, especially if it has to do with her looks, or his sexual “prowess”, NO!

So while it is possible for some… I would say maybe experiment with it for 24 hours, with an agreement to NEVER use what the other said during that experience against them in future arguments! I would not recommend it for 90% of couples. even in great marriages, I would say wait until after (at a minimum) year 8. THEN maybe try it! But beware, because as someone once said "a word once uttered cannot be taken back!” — Unknown

I hope that was at least helpful to someone.
    Sincerely, Laura 🤗 🥰

Absolutely... Even if the truth initially hurts a little in the moment, it's worth knowing that your SO is reliably truthful -- no bs...

Having said this, I'm not a fan of those who purposely state things in the worst possible way to make their SO feel bad...

No, I have had a relationship as close to that as possible and I hurt her a few times by being honest. But the end result? She loved it and in the few moments it hurt was willing to push past the pain. She valued my honesty immensely and knew she could trust and depend on me. Then if there was a situation where she had bad assumptions that were hurting her and asked my honest opinion she could believe it if my answer was way better than expected. She never had to guess with me if I was just saying it to make her feel better, she could trust I genuinely loved her that much. And knowing I genuinely loved her as much as I did without any doubt outweighed the times I did hurt her by being honest.

  • Oh, the quest for 100% honesty in relationships is like aiming for a dance that's perfectly in sync – beautiful in theory, but it's the missteps and recoveries that often add depth. Being fully honest is a noble goal, yet it requires a mastery of communication, emotional intelligence, and timing. The trick is not in withholding the truth, but in how you share it. Emphasizing kindness, understanding the context, and picking the right moment can mitigate potential hurt. However, it's essential to accept that some truths will sting, regardless of the delivery. The real magic happens when both partners view these moments as opportunities for growth rather than attacks. So, while 100% honesty is aspirational, achieving it without ever hurting each other is a dance that will always need some improvisation. 😉

Nope. When you love and care for someone, there will be times that you hurt them. It's part of life.

Probably not if it is straight negativity

'Yes, your ass does look too big in jeans... it should have a zip code'. Or do you say 'Baby, I like you wearing dresses'.

You don't need to negative. 'The pies you make are almost getting edible' or 'The pies you make have got so much better'

There will always be hurt feelings whether you lie or tell the truth. The difference between the two comes down to someone who tells the truth will also spend the effort to make sure the person is feeling good emotionally especially after sharing something true but hurtful

Of course. First of all, you can’t hurt someone else with words. They can only hurt themselves with your words, or vice versa.
You have to GIVE someone that power, and you CAN take it back at any time.

They can of they have an understanding of each other, but I suppose it depends are what kind of 'honesty' you are talking about. Sometimes honesty can be brutal, no matter how it is addressed

No, you won’t always see eye to eye, you’re gonna hurt feelings but you can also chose what you work out and boundaries for what you can’t. Otherwise maybe you’re not a good fit

Yes, but not likely since humans aren't going to be 100% honest about everything 100% of the time.
