what evidence do you have do support that there isn't a God
what evidence do you have do support that there isn't a Tooth Fairy?
You have a right to your opinion... but everyone has a right to believe what they want without someone bullying them.
Why do you think that someone explaining the reasons they don't believe is bullying?
@goaded because the left is made up of bullies
You do know that the Bible is a *collection* of books and that most of these books are just historical records, right?
Show your evidence that the Bible is based on historical fact, not just a bunch of stories people made up.
@bjjk067 ask any ancient historian.
You have the right to believe in what you want without giving reasons and justifications for it and so do we.
I have no issue with religion or God. There's just no evidence that God exists.
Your point of view not bad. But why do you have to fit in some stanger's box?
You can dislike it as much as you want but it has an important roll in society.
Everyone is free if they Believe or not but lacking a true religion will only destroy you.
No, it won't. You WANT it to destroy, but it won't.
@dogbert444 nah bud thats not my job xD
If God (s) don't exist, then who is going to do the destroying?
@dogbert444 good exists , but you will do the destroying xD
Proof? It's just a belief, not a provable fact.
@dogbert444 and you prove for me that he doesn't?
Maybe you should go live in a Muslim country and maybe you will be happier there.
I dont like religion and god either but it doesn't stop at christianity.
Read the Quran and see how many stuff was mentioned 1400 years ago and being discovered 60 or 70 years earlier, and you might change your mind.
Stuff such as?
@djvtech Earth is not flat, pounding stars, child birth, black material or matter that is between galaxies, the sun moving in a straight line and planets orbiting around it. That's just what I can remember for now. I you are looking for a truth you'll find it. Just search.
If* you are looking...
So, you can take a modern scientific discovery and find some text in the Quran that you can interpret as backing it up. That's not impressive. Impressive would be if you could take a text and make an experiment that proves its correctness.
People knew the Earth wasn't flat centuries before the Quran was written, babies had been being born for quite a while by then, too. The sun is moving in an ellipse around the Galactic centre and I'm willing to bet the word "Galaxy" doesn't appear in the book, let alone mentioning millions of them.
wait a second... so is Quran now not only a religious book but a scientific prophetic book too?
@goaded That's what happened. I didn't find stuff in the Quran and said : well they just discovered it. Scientists have been experimenting what the Quran says and they always end up in one of two situations, either they find it's 100% correct, or they couldn't proof if it's correct or false, nothing in the Quran has been proven false, nothing. The Quran doesn't mention the word Galaxy, but it described it in various other ways ( I don't remember the Ayas that do, but you can look it up ). When I say child birth I mean the series of how the baby develops inside the mother. The sun isn't moving in an ellipse way, it moves in s straight line, this as been discovered very recently. You can search for whatever you want, just don't search for you want justified, is my advice for Islam haters.
"The sun isn't moving in an ellipse way, it moves in s straight line, this as been discovered very recently."
That seems very unlikely. The Milky Way galaxy is far more massive than the Sun and so all the stars in the galaxy will be rotating around the galactic centre.
"nothing in the Quran has been proven false, nothing"
You sound just like the people I was discussing evolution and the Big Bang theory with last week; they simply refused to accept any evidence that conflicts with their ancient book, as well.
@goaded The Quran doesn't approve or deny anything about the big bang theory, and keep in mind that it's just a theory, so even it the Quran denied it, it' still a theory and scientists could call it a FACT.
It's something that is beyond a concept
please don't post this again
I would only need to post it once...
again, don't post things about members
It's my response TO a member. As I said, it didn't fit in the box.
And they wanted to know...
As long as the member is not named its all okay.
she @mentioned them
this is why l like the concept of religion and god
Great take!
Well written
