A few days ago I said I was going to write a myTake about islam and I said I would consider your questions
I will answer some of your questions with verses from the Qur'an ,I will not give examples of hadiths because the hadiths are not really reliable sources because the hadiths gathered for many years (several centuries) after the death of the Prophet Muhammad, so the hadiths are not reliable sources for me

1) What does Islam say about killing?
Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely. And our messengers had certainly come to them with clear proofs. Then indeed many of them, [even] after that, throughout the land, were transgressors.
Al'Ma'idah 32.Verse

2) What do you think about the 5th verse of Surah At-Tawbah?
And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
I spoke with my religious teachers and Imams about this verse and now I will tell you a summary,if you are trying to understand a verse in Quran first of all, you need to know the story of this verse
verses before and after this verse:
Surah At-Tawbah
1-[This is a declaration of] disassociation, from Allah and His Messenger, to those with whom you had made a treaty among the polytheists.
4-Excepted are those with whom you made a treaty among the polytheists and then they have not been deficient toward you in anything or supported anyone against you; so complete for them their treaty until their term [has ended]. Indeed, Allah loves the righteous [who fear Him].
5-And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the polytheists wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
This verse refers to people who fought against Islam and betrayed Islam in the 7th century (this verse does not command the killing of non-Muslims). Because when Islam emerged and spread among people, the pagans in Mecca tortured Muslims, imposed a food embargo, and tried to kill them. Then the Muslims of Mecca escaped to Medina and they established an islamic country there. The pagans in Mecca repeatedly attacked the Muslims to destroy the Islam and some people began to live among Muslims as agents, this verse tells about this.

3) What Islam says about women?
The basic premise of equality between the sexes is taken from a verse of the Holy Qur’an where Allah Almighty states he created man and woman from a single source and origin:
"O Mankind, Be dutiful to your Lord who created you from a single soul and from it created its mate (of same kind) and from them twain has spread a multitude of men and women".
An-Nisa, 4:1
Stressing this noble and natural conception, the Qur'an further states:
He (God) it is who did create you from a single soul and there from did create his mate, that he might dwell with her (in love)...
Al-A’raf, 7:189
"And Allah has made for you azwaj (mates or wives) of your own kind, and has made for you from your mates, children and grandchildren, and has made provision of good things for you. Do they then disbelieve in false deities and deny the favor of Allah?"
An-Nahl, 16::72
Since men and women have been created from one origin and one entity, neither of them can claim superiority over each other. They have been created from the same source and so their essence is the same. This is reinforced in the Qur’an many times so as to ensure mankind is aware that both are equal in the eyes of God.
When the Qur’anic injunctions regarding women were revealed, the status of women at that time must be also appreciated. In pre-Islamic Arabia, and indeed throughout the world, the very legitimacy of women as human beings was still being questioned and debated, so even the idea of bestowing her with formal rights and favors was not open for discussion . Women were seen as mere objects and pieces of chattel for men to buy and sell at their whim, existing for the fulfillment of male desire or reserved for the procreation of the human race. Other than this, women were neither respected nor considered equal to their male counterparts.

"Men are the protectors and maintainers of women"Al-Nisa, 4:34
"Women are the other half of men"
(Sunan Abu Dawud, Kitab At-Taharah
"They ( wives) are libas (body cover or garments) for you (husbands) are the same for them"
Al- Baqarah, (2:187),
"The believers, men and women are auliya (helpers) of one another"At-Taubah, (9:71)
"No believing man should hate a believing woman, since if there is any habit of hers that displease him, there will be some other habit that will please him"(Sahih Muslim, Kita bar-Rada)
"The most perfect man in religion is one who excels in character. The best amongst you is he who gives the best treatment to his womenfolk"(Sahih Thirmidhi, Abwab ar-Rada)

4) Why do some Muslim women cover their faces?
There is an order for the headscarf in Islam, but there is no order for the face,I think this is very silly and absurd, and most Muslim women think like me.the invention of those who completely mislead the Islam, I grew up with the Anatolian Islamic tradition and this has nothing to do with my culture

5) Why Muslim women wearing headscarves?
It's in most religions. I visited many churches ın Turkey and Christian women were wearing headscarves. Married Jewish women are also wearing headscarves
This list can be extended....
I think women's hair is valuable for most religions.

6) Why Muslim men can marry 5 women?
This not an order, this is an permission but some ignorant men corrupt it in wars and so on, the male population is decreasing and many women are widows, or girls cannot find a man to marry so many women are forced to make prostitution and their children grow up without a father. Islam allowed men because such negative situations corrupt society but this is not an order. Islam has always recommended only a wıfe if a man wants to marry another woman, he must get permission from his wife and if a man cannot bring justice among his wives, this is a great sin. But now time has changed and men cannot even cope with a woman. If there are still men who have still many wives in the 21st century, I doubt their intelligence.

You should not judge Islam by looking at Saudi Arabia, Iran and some countries because people are ignorant and corrupt. In addition, dozens of nations accepted Islam and each nation combined Islam with its own culture. And each community has interpreted Islam in a different way. There are many sects and different groups in Islam therefore you cannot interpret Islam in a healthy way with a single path.
If you have something you wonder, go to the mosques and talk to the Imams. Too much information pollution on the Internet. Please consider these.
God (Allah or Jehowa) bless you all.
