Jesus says a good measure pressed down and shaken together will be poured over flowing into your lap because with the measure you use, it will be measured to you

The way I interpret that verse is, you should invest in your relationships with people, even at the risk of rejection and disappointment because when people do not behave in an acceptable way, God will reward you for the blessing you sowed in them and for them and intended for them when the people you helped are ungrateful and unloving
