My Christian Understanding of Exodus 23

Exodus 23 - New 40 Numbers

Do not make materialistic assumptions (1)

Do not support abuse (2)

Do not relate to wickedness (3)

Do not oppose truth to increase popularity (4)

Do not aid a person in evil doing out of pity (5)

If your enemy’s heart or sacrifice is deceived bring them back on the path (6)

If you see the body of somebody who hates you overwhelmed with physical or emotional pain be sure to ease their suffering (7)

Do not deny help to the needy (8)

Do not submit to a dishonest principle (9)

Do not injure the innocent or the dignified or there will be consequences (10)

Don’t help anyone commit wrongdoing or wickedness out of a desire for reward

Because wicked rewards corrupt the spirit and taint the speech of the pure (11)

Do not oppose the ignorant for you were once ignorant victims of oppression (12)

Do your work in dedication and sacrifice but rest when it’s time for a reward (13)

This way the lazy among you will not be destroyed (14)

And your interests will benefit from the rest (15)

Do the same rest with your family work (16)

And your religious work (17)

Work in your heart and imagination (18)

But rest in meditation too (19)

This way your heart may rest

Your body may be renewed (20)

Your bounded workers may receive comfort (21)

And your enemy may find mercy (22)

Be careful to do everything I said all the time (23)

Do not desire a non religious reality (24)

Do not seduce unclean intentions with your words (25)

Celebrate life for therapeutic purposes (26)

A festival of grace with therapy (27)

A festival of compassion (28)

A festival of worship (29)

Therapy must appear before God

Do not desire the damnation of the wicked (30)

Do not reject the love of God (31)

Work to excellent standards for God (32)

Do not share your secrets with a controlling friend (33)

See I’m sending a witness in you that is unemotional

To protect you from enemies and bring you to the land of love

Be cautious in witness and do what your taught

Do not diverge from him since your diversion will not be guiltless because the name of God is in him (34)

If you listen to your public witness (35)

And do all that God demands (36)

I will be a rejector of your rejectors

And conquer those who conquer you

My witness will go when your unemotional

And bring you into the land of the delusional and the biased and the unbelieving and the passive and the wasteful and the vain and I will remove their hostility

Do not value what they teach or appreciate their luxuries or engage in their cynical hypocrisies

You must pronounce indifference to them and reject their cherished assumptions its destruction

Appreciate God and his appreciation will be on your joy and emotions (37)

******I will take despair away from among you

And none will defect or be lonely in your land

And I will give you the maximum of life

I will send my fear ahead of you to subjugate every testimony you encounter

I will make all your gossips succumb to fear and abandon their fight

I will send the critic ahead of you to drive the atheist and the wasteful and the passive out of your life

But I will not drive them out in a singular stage of growth

Because the truths would be wild and the luxuries too numerous for you

Slowly but surely I will drive them out

Until you have progressed enough to take control of your own life

I will establish your reputation from the middle eastern formalities to the shameful sinners outside the church and the suffering of all mankind will serve you

And your land *from* the isolation to the deepest of relationships

Do not make a shared reality with them or their prides (38)

Or they will force you to renounce me

For the appreciation of their prides will certainly be a humiliation to you (39)

Don’t fight or oppose your enemies. Let God destroy them, dismantle them, disband them, dishonour them, disempower them for you and deliver you by His hand and His word and His Presence (40)
