How I understand this passage in Jeremiah - Bible Talk

So a little about me,

I view the bible as allegorical and contextual containing both obvious meetings and hidden meanings, literal meanings and symbolic meanings, and some of these things are so complicated and nuanced, I will only share them with my future husband or children because they are too controversial for public rendering.

Jeremiah Says:

16 I will pronounce my judgments on my people

because of their wickedness in forsaking me,

in burning incense to other gods

and in worshiping what their hands have made

My Interpretation:

When you forsake the righteous poor you forsake God

When you worship status symbols you worship other Gods

When you loathe your brother, you commit the wickedness of exploitation

When you gossip based on false principles, you burn incense to other gods

When you judge others based on your own effort and not on the efforts they have made, your worshiping what your hands have made

I believe in worshiping God seven days a week. That includes studying your scriptures keeping your hearts minds centered upon God. Attending worship once a week to get that full benefit of God's word. I also believe in tithes and other offerings. Tithes meaning 1/10 of all I earn is given to God's work. Other offerings is to feed the poor and hungry and help the outcast (to help those that have had natural disasters ) and missionary work. Which helps spreads the God's love.

Jeremiah being a profit would be bearing the burden of a Prophet and was commanded to not take a wife or to father children
