Money is what humans created to give a specific value to things. Money is based on a government and their more concrete wealth in rare and valuable earth metals and or other resources. Money can be printed/minted to represent those resources and distributed by the nation accordingly... The distributed money is then placed into a flow and this flow is what allows businesses to survive, people to earn a living, and for life as we know it to go on. Money makes the world go round... Because without it, humans are simply slaves to themselves and their own greed. Since money can represent a lot of things, it only drives that thirst or greed that humans tend to have in all areas of life. Spiritual beings... I don't think most people know what they are, and I don't think anyone truly worships money, but they understand what money can do. Money can do more than unseen forces and it certainly can do more than what some people hope their faith can provide.
Money is man made evil, greed incarnate, and tool for survival. Humans trying to live will seek out money over a lot of other things because a lot fear death because of our "Fight or flight" instinct. As a result, money is a way to channel that into security, and security often equals survivability.
Another really good q - probably because they were not given any other valuable way to build their social identity, except via money. We all need a way to communicate how 'unique' or 'special' we are - some systems of values accept sports, science, arts/music or looks as the main methods - but then you can add money as another one, and so if you are not sports-inclined, not very smart, have no specific talents and you are not good looking either, you run out of options and go for building your presence in the society on money.
I think its the individual who do not worship money , that always underestimates the value of money. Ask them this: What would it be like if you were too poor to ever afford an airplane ride? what if you couldn't afford a vacation? what if you could never afford to buy your child a birthday cake because it was too expensive? what about working 12 hours a day just to make ends meet? how about never knowing what its like to eat at restaurants just because its too expensive? what if your parents didn't have the money to help you get your drivers license? Walking 2 hours instead of taking the us?
I grew up being poor. All of these stated above were the realities of living under poverty. Those who say that money doesn't matter are people who didn't grow up being poor. Hence they don't understand the value of money.
Most people that worship money like it because of what it can buy for them or the envy of others they will receive from having it. Money isn't superior to all spiritual things, in my opinion. If getting a huge amount of it meant: sacrificing your health to a painful lifetime illness, lack of peace of mind, lower self-esteem, and loss of morality to the point that you lose everyone you love because of it... Then is having more than you could ever spend in your lifetime worth it?
Sometimes this is literally all we have when everything else has failed us in life.
what i love about money is that it doesn't care who you are (male, female, caucasian, African, virgin, promiscuous, liberal, conservative, atheist, theist...), it will be on your side if you're on it's side. Whether you come from a rich and loving family or abusive losers, who use their kids as their punching bag, money has got you if you're working like there's no tomorrow towards it.
women reject us for being too short, too tall, not being zodiac sign Virgo or Sagittarius... Money doesn't care. If you love money properly and a lot, then money loves you too.
Because, unfortunately nowadays, money is power and there has always been power hungry people in this world. Some others just like to have money for status because they think it makes them above everyone else but they are delusional if they think this will make them happy. I believe that people who worship money lack something in them and it prevents them from appreciating the world we live in.
You need money for majority of things to purchase anywhere you go in the country. It’s rare to find free things & most events are fueled by currency. It’s disgusting how this country is mostly fueled by spending money just to enjoy the nice things in life but that’s how it is.
People who are materialistic worships money the more they have , the more they spend , i never want a Woman / Girl whose materialistic i believe people who think material things mean more there is something wrong with their heads i don't need a lot things to be happy i just need love.
I don't know if it's superior to ALL spiritual things but money is important since it's just a medium of exchange. Money = value
People who will tell you that money isn't important probably didn't ever made lots of money themselves, don't believe in capitalism or don't fully understand capitalism.
Mainly because they have been brainwashed into thinking money solves all problems. While it can make things easier, there is a huge danger. Too often the money becomes the master, with people striving to maintain what they have and to increase it at the expense of friendships and family. While there is nothing wrong with having money, when it becomes one's controller then that person is lost.

Money doesn't give you happiness, but it gives you some kind of security and confidence. You can live without love, belief, hope... ( all those pointless feelings for emotional people), but you can't live without money. Mammon is a superior god, so superior that even leader of biggest religious congregation worship mammon more then their gods.
In despite of that, many rich people forget they're Humans Not god.

no it is not superior. even wealthy people can end up empty and lonely. Money is power... which is security in this "fallen" world and experiences for a better life.

Because we're brought up to believe that money is important and, to an extent, it is. Unfortunately, many people are brought up with this view so much that it skews their view of the world and the people around them. We're all guilty of participating to this system :)
Money is an interesting construct as I know a number of wealthy people who all want more money but still say more money leads to more problems (one told me you never get rich enough you just enter the bottom of a new league)

I know one guy who is buying a helicopter as a Ferrari Enzo doesn't cut it anymore (he also has 30 Porsches, a trio of Lamborghinis, another Ferrari and a Rolls Royce) One who when I tracked down a platinum Breitling offered me a £4,000 Breitling... I turned it down and took my finder's fee of 1% which was 10 times less
honestly money can get u almost everything u want ( note i said almost) some people worship cause they know whats it like to be broke and homeless and stuff like that so yea rich people might not but yea
Is that even a question? I would say most people are just worried that they won’t have them. And I don’t think there’s a single person dreaming to eat with the rats.
Some times in life there are holes people fall into where money is the only thing that can take you out. Some people have more of those holes in their lives than others.
