There were some Jews who converted to Christianity, but most did not. It's rare for people in an old established religion to convert to a new one. Rare, but it can happen.

In this case, you just have to look at the Roman Empire, and how both religions functioned under it.

The Jews were conquered by the Romans but allowed to keep their religion. So they did, for centuries, but their numbers and political influence remained minimal.

When Christianity began to grow in the Roman empire, it offered new converts something that the other Roman religions did not. And as a growing movement it eventually became large enough that the Roman Emperor Constantine issued an edict that protected Christians in the empire (his mother had been a Christian) and he converted to Christianity on his deathbed in A. D. 337.

This was something the Jewish religion did not manage to do, mostly because they were an incredibly insular faith of exclusion. Despite being persecuted on all sides, they made it incredibly difficult to "become" Jewish. It was something wrapped up in their culture and ethnicity and tribal nature. You were Jewish if your mother was Jewish. The Jews also did not go forth and proselytize for their faith, seeking converts. They were always destined to remain an isolated small tribe, secure in their belief that they were superior to all others and allowing very few "outsiders" to claim the title of Jew.

But jews were never very fond from Christianity from the very beginning, you can catch that when you read the nuances in Paul's letters.

One thing early Christians used to fight over was about the circumcision thing, where Jews would only accept them if they were circumcised, and Paul said that was not necessary anymore. Actually in Galatians 5:12 one possible interpretation is that Paul is suggesting for those who want the Galatians circumcised to go all the way and castrate themselves.

Christianity and Islam are built to spread. Judaism isn't - if you want to become Jewish you need to go through a very long and hard process. They actively try to discourage people from joining, because they see themselves as the chosen people.
So out of these 3 Judaism is already not a contender to be dominant world-wide.

I'm not sure Christianity is more widespread than Islam. The religious world is mostly divided between Christianity and Islam, where there are only slightly more Christians. The reason you may feel that Christianity is more dominant is because Christian countries, i. e. western countries, are more rich and powerful. How come they are so much richer and more powerful despite Arab countries having shitload of oil? My own opinion: because they discovered science and capitalism sooner. This is by no means a controversial opinion, but you can find alternative opinions that are just as acceptable.

Oh no, i understood the question. I gave you the actual answer. Jewish religion may have started, but when they refused to believe that Jesus was a devine being, the church separated in an effort to make man seem inferior. People would rather believe a fairytale because they needed it to convert people who believed in polytheistic religions.
