Why do a lot of people call astrology BS, and mock it, without even looking into it?

A lot of people just go off and call astrology BS, and mock it, yet nobody wants to actually look into it. There is a such thing as a natal chart, which explains why we aren’t just 12 signs alone. The sun sign determines your original personality, the moon sign determines your emotional nature, the rising sign determines your physical appearance and persona, and there is so much more to look in to. by the way, I’m a Pisces sun, Libra moon, and Libra rising.

Most people are aware of this, that people have 3 signs.
But all this extra complexity is just committing the same mistakes as what the more straightforward concept of just a single sign does.

I've used this post before, but;
A) There's no reason to assume that celestial bodies have any impact on our character or random chance. There's also no reason to assume that those same celestial bodies locations at the time of our birth, would somehow still be relevant. If Planet X in Location Y made people do Z, we would expect that to happen to everyone equally.
B) When tested, subjects cannot reliably/consistently identify their own chart from an unlabelled list of predictions/character descriptions.
C) When tested, astrologers cannot determine the signs of subjects based only on asking questions. If astrology were true, we would expect it to work in reverse, yet, suspiciously, it does not.
D) We would expect to see very strange trends within astrological signs, ie a sudden spike in Leos winning the lottery followed by a spike of Libras, etc. Something to this effect. Instead, despite a 12th of the populace all supposedly fitting the same starsign with the same predictions, no such trends exist.

These 4 points are true for Sun, Moon and Rising signs. Your extra complexity doesn't help your case at all, it only compounds your problem by giving you more to demonstrate and more tests to fail.

It's quite simply all a load of nonsense, thought and made up by some idiotic's wild figment of imagination.

Sadly these days it's become a huge racket in exploiting money out of very gullible individuals.

I was born on 01/23/1968 in the vicinity of Los Angeles at about 09:30 AM Pacific standard time.

According to Online Planetarium by In-The-Sky. org., the sun was rising in Capricorn (though Aquarius is my sun sign). The moon was setting in Libra. And the zodiacal constellation rising was Aquarius.

So, with the sun rising in Capricorn, what can you tell me about my original personality?
Or are we going to go with my sun sign being Aquarius (which is generally what's accepted for people born on the 23rd of January)?

With the moon setting in Libra, what can you tell me about my emotional nature?

With Aquarius rising, what can you tell about my physical appearance?

Also, Mars was rising in Aquarius. Mercury was rising in Capricorn. Venus was rising in either Sagitarius or Ophiucus (a constellation on the zodiac, but generally not recognized as a zodiacal sign) Neptune was setting in Libra. Uranus was setting in Virgo. Jupiter and Saturn were below the local horizon.

As you are a Pisces, your birthday falls some time between Feb. 19 and Mar. 20. Correct? Out of curiosity, what's the month and date of your birth? Given that you say your moon sign is Libra, I think you were either born on March 17 or 18, or Feb. 19. Are any of those dates correct?

What is there to "look into" ? Astrology has never been shown to have any utility and it's contrary to all known science. If it worked, we would know by now. It doesn't. I don't have time to investigate every pseudo-scientific belief. There are fifty methods of fortune-telling listed in the Wikipedia article on fortune-telling:   None have been shown to have any value.

Astrology is an expression of irrationality based on nothing but arbitrary statements. It does not correspond to any fact of reality and it is supported only by the primacy of consciousness.

Does the sun determine your personality? How do you know it? Do you know it because of faith, intuition, extrasensory perception, a certain kind of feeling or hunch? Or do you know the truth by identifying facts of reality?

How do you know that the sun determines your personality but a potato does not?

It is an ancient science, and during the 19th and 20th century many people started to disregard old things as dumb BS, not to mention people studying ancient sciences and making up spiritual nonsense making a new age religion. Most Astrology we know is new age.

I don;t call it BS. I think there are things in our world that exist but we cannot perceive them with our sensory apparatus. I'm not sure if Astrology is one of those things.
