I have more respect in astrology believers than most god religions worshippers.
Reason being, astrology is based on more assessable concrete points than most religions:
1. It's not a matter of just in which month 1 is born. An astrologer draws a birth chart of all the exact positions of the planets, according to exact time and exact location coordinates. Then, there's a series of analysis or the correlation of the planets according to position.
2. We at least all agree of the effects of the sun and moon.. It's a fact that the moon control tides. Position to the sun controls seasons, plants only grow in certain sun exposure and season... Etc I'm opened to think that the planet may influence us more than we think
3. Astrology evidence were found 3rd millennium BC and all over the world. Each region created their own independently just like languages, natural medicine.. Etc I think it would be coincidence that they all find the urge to think that the stars influence us? Whereas most mainstream religion nowadays were recently created
I'm not an astrology advocate but I like to keep an open mind.. Learn about the subject and assess for myself. And who knows, we could be like a medieval guy trying to understand the concept that a smartphone exist..12 Reply

And that tells what exactly? That your personality will be affected by advanced astrophysics and calculus? I’m all for highly intelligent concepts like calculus and astrophysics, but saying that it affects human behavior is a huge stretch.

The moon’s gravitational pull on the earth causes tides. Nothing supernatural about that. The earth rotates on a tilted axis that spins like a dreidel, which causes us to have different seasons in different parts of the planet. So what? Animals and plants adapt to the changes in seasons.

The ancient Greeks believed that the gods were having massive orgies in the sky. Would you believe in that also? With advancements in technology and enlightenment comes more appropriate explanations of phenomena that was previously thought as a mystery to us.
I understand the need for an explanation as to why humans are on this planet and how we are influenced, but I seriously doubt that humans are that special in an observable universe that’s 13 billion light years in length.- +1 y
I don't think your getting my point... First I'm not a believer nor a disbeliever. These points were to stay it's not absolutely total irrational superstition like seeing a black cat means bad luck.
'' The moon’s gravitational... have different seasons in different parts of the planet. So what? Animals and plants adapt to the changes in seasons. "
Just because you don't understand exactly how it works or we haven't found an explanation doesn't mean there's absolutely no pro points towards a concept. And exactly, like you said.. animals and plants adapt to changes in seasons, sun and moon position too.. proving the planets influence living things. So it's not to be ruled out that they may have some effects on us.
Umm you keep missing my point lol with the ancient Greek, they were the only ones. My point is several civilizations came up with astrology all independently
Just because we haven't found an explanation, does not mean it doesn't exist. That's what the caveman would have said if you went back in time and explain that electricity exist
I agree we're not that important and insignificant in a huge universe. Who said we were?
Anyway, you asked a question. I answered it. These are some points I think why some people may believe/are opened to it. If your purpose was to say astrology was superstition, then maybe you should have formulated the question differently

some people are like "I'm a scorpio that's why I'm a bad bitch"... well hell no Karen, you're just ill-mannered
I hate it when people blame things on star signs. Once a girl told me "you're such a capricorn" ... wtf does that even mean?🤦♀️
I think people just like to believe in certain things because those things provide easier answers to their questions, saving them the need to think logically and critically.

+1 yIn a lifetime's investigative study of 'occult' phenomena, I cannot legitimately discern the root causation accorded to Astrology and YET... in SO MANY of the 'real world' anecdotal examples... the majority of traits alleged DO seem to hold true in the majority of assigned attributes more than 80% ! I have applied them in many of the criminal profiling investigations I've been paid to do.

When you grow up and attend school next year, you'll learn about something called "personal beliefs". Pay attention in that class as you'll learn why you cannot have something that was written for fun in a manga comic.01 Reply
Asker+1 yI personally believe that I’ll be able to obtain the eternal mangekyo sharingan. Why can’t that be respected.

+1 yI don’t believe in astrology at all but my girlfriend is a die hard follower of it. She believes it because it follows her feelings and impressions of others. I don’t make fun of her for it. I just like to think of it as a hobby of hers and I don’t mind that at all. She doesn’t force me into it but she tells me all about it. I’ve even told her that I find it all bullshit when she asked.

+1 ySame reason they believe in "god". They're too weak to cope with existential fears and the fact that they are the only ones responsible for their outcomes (there's no destiny/fate nor pre-made plan for them). So they invent make-believe concepts and are comforted by the many other morons who believe the same crap.

The secrets to the universe and all of it's creations lie out there... In the heavens of the astros... Somewhere... Exhist an explanation to everything that is real today. We are all a part... or many parts actually of the astros. Our physical bodies will run there course and we shall return to the elements once again.
00 ReplyBecause it’s fun. You aren’t forced to like astrology and most astrology now a days is main stream and appropriated but it’s an actual practice that people enjoy doing

Opinion Owner+1 yCheck the rest of your natal chart even aspects then get back to me
Opinion Owner+1 yYour sun sign doesn't mean much, but it can be a good outline sometimes
Asker+1 yWill my sun sign allow me to obtain the Rinnegan?
Opinion Owner+1 yDon’t know what that means. But if you’re a Sagittarius you’re suppose to be optimistic. Pessimism is associated with Capricorn (Saturn), so that’s why I said to check your natal chart
Asker+1 yOnce I see what I am on the natal chart, will I be able to start the infinite tsukiyomi?
Asker+1 yAlso I can’t stand optimism and optimistic people. I’m a realist, leaning more towards the pessimistic side.
Opinion Owner+1 yFor sure you have earth in your chart. Venus, Saturn and mercury as your aspects
Asker+1 ySo will this allow me to perform ninjutsu? Or will I be like Rock Lee and have to use my chakra gates?
